Given that we have brought in a free transfer we already had, a loan signing and one actual purchase and sold a bloke we'd already sold there has been surprisingly little comment on how we are doing. Perhaps everyone is quiet...but are they? The below is from the guardian and is boosted in some cases by some clubs being loan mad..(und is undisclosed). Arsenal - In 10 (5 free, 1 und, spen 32.2) - Out -( 8 loans, 2 free, 1 und, Fees 20m) Edited by StrangerThing (24 Sep 2020 10.11pm) Now we talk about this being our best window, but assessing the above and in the context of what everyone else has done, maybe not that great?

We've all been given a timeout and hopefully we've learned. I for one will be happy to discuss any cheap left backs, but I've opened a separate thread on Clark. Seems unlikely, unless we're finding solid backup. I am hopeful of another striker, but not as a Sorloth replacement. If we are looking at a LB, it is looking like PVA maybe moved on as last year in his contract and age, now Mitchell looks like progressing.

I said before the window opened, and maintain this position, that rather than significant changes we just needed to add a few younger and more dynamic players. We have already done that and for me anything else is a bonus. Eze oozes class and thanks to a strong start we haven't had to just throw him in. Bats is great competition and will really push Ayew and Zaha. From things I've read Ferguson is a real prospect, and thanks to Ward's performances again will not have to be rushed in. Yes other clubs have also made signings, but unlike some previous windows it feels like we are finally addressing our key areas of concern (ie replacing AWB and getting more attacking prowess). If we stick with 4-4-2 then I do think we should move Meyer on, as he is not going to play and we could use the money for someone to compete with Townsend on the right. If we do get Benrahma or Brewster then for me that would be the icing on the cake and probably represent our best window since returning to the PL.

I think we may have scared them all off! Or maybe a lot is happening behind the scenes, and it's too delicate a stage to say very much about? I live in hopes!

Brewster & Benrahma will be Palace players in the next 2 weeks. Watch this space. Tekkers, Wickham looking likely to depart, another one to go if we can find a buyer could be Meyer. Brewster & Benrahma will be Palace players in the next 2 weeks. I'm still watching and hoping, my opinion Brewster is Sheffield United bound.
