Or did he expect us to qualify for the champions league this season ? You signed a big paying contract now at least honour a few years of it .

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle He signed a 5 year contract to guarantee the club a good fee. He and parish know the plan, it was always to be this summer that he would be sold. The money would have been invested nicely (hopefully)and people wouldn't have begrudged him a move. The spanner in the works is AWB moving a season early... the fans won't like losing two star players in one hit, the money was too good to turn down and parish just saw $$ and indeed whilst it's easier to replace a RB of a decent standard, it's harder to replace wilf, as it has shown since 2013, but with 100 mil in the bank, it's not so much replacing wilf but adapting to life without wilf. The main issue here is this - has the club been looking for a realistic way to move on after wilf? With money in the bank, we shall see. This day was always coming and we knew it.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle If that was the case. SP and the board would surely have had a replacement and plan in mind . And although his contract gives us a big asking price , it might be counterproductive as who is going to put up the 80/100 mil ? Not Arsenal surely?

We should definitely hold out for £80 million, mahrez went to City for £60 million and Wilf in my opinion is a better player.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle Feel sorry for you guys. Losing one player was bad, to lose two will be very difficult indeed to deal with. Seems Zaha is intent on leaving. I can see Arsenal just ratcheting up the bids and the player complaining, bit £40m is a joke. If AWB is worth £50m, then Zaha is worth £80m Trouble is what do you do with the money if Arsenal pay it?

Arsenal's issue is that they need to find £40m worth of players to send us to make up the other half. Good luck with that. Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson, and £40m and I'd start listening.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle I did say I expected this to happen, however, I expected it to be with a higher bid than £40 mil. This should make it easier to tell Wilf’s brother to shut up because he’s embarrassing himself and Wilf and Arsenal to get real. It won’t stop the bids rising though. The question however is at what price does the pressure, stropping and media intensity become valid and can Arsenal get to that price. I don’t think they will, and it’ll mean Parish and Wilf’s brother have a bit of a fall out. Rumours already that Parish is refusing to speak or deal with Arsenal due to the low bid. Time for the Palace PR machine to embarrass the Arsenal board. I’m not sure Zaha was aware of the size of bid if he even knew this piece by his brother was going to print.
