However much we love Jules, he is past his best and fair play to the fella he is 38! His strengths have always been his reflexes and shot stopping. However his kicking has always been terrible. For a grown man he can barely make the half way line. He also has this odd style of slicing the ball on drop kicks which never go to anyone and again barely gets any distance. Did anyone notice Pickfords kicking on saturday for Everton, chalk and cheese. We are in a rock a and a hard place with Jules and Wayne at the moment. Its our own negligence again not buying another goalkeeper in Jan.

About 213 pages back, it was decided that we need a new goalkeeper. Shall we stop going on about whether Hennessey or Speroni are slightly less not good than each other now?

Speroni and Hennessey would probably be OK back-up and occasional starters.

For years, our choice of Number 1s have been rubbish - McCarthy turned out to be rubbish and Mandanda turned out to be a disappointment. The real issue should be our recruitment policy and why we can't get someone better - rather than acting with such ire every time our Number 2/3 goalkeepers show what we all know, that they are no longer a sensible option as first choice.

I couldn't agree more. We should support any player who plays for Palace.

Criticism is one thing abuse is another and this constant witch hunt is abusive of a current player.

The Mods have ducked out of their responsibilities and where the same views are being expressed by a particular poster mutiple times a day they should have done something about it

I doubt if there are many posters on here who agree with the continual vitriolic and down right abusive posts about a Palace player.

If the Mods agree with your posts then they should step down from their position.

Can everyone just calm down. Different opinions is what makes football so great. But sometimes you're just not going to change people's minds especially on an internet forum and just have to accept that. Otherwise it all becomes very draining and there's surely more to life...
