We are not the only ones in a mess about a new manager. Apparently Everton have 8 people on their shortlist including everyone we are after. The sooner they pick a manager the sooner we will get ours from the discards. Benitiz seems to be the owners preferred choice but their fans hate him for the Liverpool connection and it never goes well (see Alex Mcleish and George Graham). As for Spurs what are they playing at they seemed to have their man only to change their mind why we don't know. Anyway above is all speculation lets hope the music stops soon and everybody grabs a chair. Edited by Badger11 (19 Jun 2021 9.22am)

Silva is nothing special. I remember some fans on here hyping him up like he was the second coming of Christ. One glimpse at his records with Hull, Watford, and Everton equals avoid like the plague. Favre would be a better option. We are 'Birds on the same twig' regards Silva. He was appointed by Hull when they were in the PL after he won the title at Olympiacos but the Greek side win the league most seasons.Hull were bottom after 20 league games and under Silva finished 18th and were relegated. He went to Watford but he left in his first season when the club were 10th after 24 league games as Watford felt he had lost focus following interest from Everton. In his first season at Everton, they finished 8th but the next season he was sacked with Everton 18th after 15 PL games.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Alan Whittle would top Everton's short list. When he combined with Derek Possee we had to play on the ground

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

It could be another Nuno - being led up the garden path - but the odds are acting like smoke signals again, something is happening with Favre he's 1-4 (long odds on) in a few places, 7-5 with the exchanges but there is still a bit of 3-1 about.

I'm very far from being an expert but it seems unlikely to me that anyone in a position of influence involved in talks about the next Palace manager needs more money to the extent that they'll nip off down the bookies and stick a cheeky tonne on with Ladbrokes. Surely any movement in the odds is not only resultant from bets being made rather than actual info the bookies have, but (more to the point) those placing bets must by definition be unconnected to the inner circle?

Chelski scout the best players and sign them up sometimes breaking guidelines - hence their transfer ban You cannot disguise the fact that Lampard had the bottle to play them. Maybe he picked Gilmour over the likes of Havertz. You have to say he has been instrumental in the development of Mount, James, Gilmour and Tomori Our academy is not of that standard but we have invested in our academy so is worth getting the best out of it

None of the ‘ big ‘ names would go to Chelsea for that reason. He had little choice other than to introduce those youngsters and to be fair he did a good job with them. Looks like he can’t cope with senior players though.

Dazza, can you check with your source on takeover rumour and report on the other thread, thanks Originally posted by dazza
Now I know this is all in the press so nothing new but I’m being told yes I know what you will all say but I am being told tonight that providing no hitches we will have a new manager hopefully within 48hrs. That man is Lucien Favre 3 year contract talks are progressing but all is going well & SP is very confident we have our man. Only passing what I have been told, may be rubbish but just passing on the info.
