Hennessey has made mistakes but not of the same nature. He did a very similar thing when Ireland scored against Wales - throwing the ball out to an under pressure centre half ! Thankfully Hodgson has stated his desire to buy a keeper in January - he has seen that Speroni is too old now but he still prefers him to WH. A new keeper is a must.

Brenty you've gone way OTT here regardless of the rights and wrongs of it. People who think WH is a better choice may or may not be wrong but it don't mean s*** about their loyalty to Palace. Jules, A HERO, is getting on for a little goalie whose main strength has always been shot stopping and reflexes. Deep down none of us know what level he's at. He's saved eminently saveable ones and conceded hard ones -- generally WH's MO. I just have a deep doubt Jules is anywhere near good enough still. much as I love the fella.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

These people have been letting off a s*** goal keeper for a few years now, making excuses for him at every opportunity. And then calling for a legend to be dropped and are straight on him as soon as he makes a mistake after defending a s*** goalie to the hilt for years. If that isn’t a reason to question their loyalty then I don’t know if a better reason.

The one for Wales was done to his captain who was calling for the ball. The one to Dann was not done to a player who was not calling for it.

Aaaagh! This still? Look cant we just agree we need a new keeper and the ones we have arnt good enough at this level? It doesnt matter which one we have on so we might as well put on the one we like!!! But enough argueing about which one to put on...neither are good enough...

We should all support Wayne Hennessey unreservedly until: A) Brentmeister blows his gasket and becomes no more; or

The mods could delete this thread as it's just going round and round in circles but it would reduce BG's post count from 17,485 to 16 and I don't think he would be very happy

Yawn. We have let in so many goals through errors this year that something needs to give. However, we have been sloppy all over the park. There is no difference between what Sakho did against Chelsea and what Dann/Speroni did at the weekend, except Sakho got away with it and Dann/Speroni didn’t. Similarly the 1 v 1 that Benteke missed came from defensive fragility, the only reason they got away with it was because Benteke had just come on after a long period out. That is what football is about, brilliance, errors and luck and opinions. That’s what makes it worth watching. Why do differences of opinion have to become something that we have to turn into reasons for abuse.

This made Dann stop chasing as he saw that Calamity had it covered. Calamity then saw the opponents(I forget who they were) attacker running for the ball, he shat it, froze, then started to retreat. A much bigger f*** up than Jules completing a pass to a normally reliable and competent defender in Dann. Sorry you are just wrong on this ,I have tried to explain why but you do not , or choose not to understand.
