If she sticks to ideology she never do anything. Oh, I remember, that’s the point, for Truss. Get the top job and stick to doing nothing, because that’s all she can do. Yet again she gave it 5 seconds thought along with what a few retweeting Twitter fans and fools might think. Even Jacob thingy disagreeing wasn’t enough for the airhead to think she might be badly wrong, again, after how many times in a month. Actually I think she’s too thick to notice the difference between a nanny state and some government advice to stay warm, alive and healthy during the most expensive winter anyone can remember. All she thinks about is whatever she’s had drummed into her. Edited by Rudi Hedman (08 Oct 2022 11.58am)

OK. Conspiracy theory time. Feel free to rip it apart. The Tories are effectively committing political suicide. And all on the back of a massive majority. They want to lose the next GE. Why? American hegemony wants the UK in the EU. We are the spoiler. If we are there to veto anything meaningful, then it is ultimate a lot cheaper than having to provoke wars with Russia and blowing up energy infrastructure. So the Tories implode. Leaving the ground clear for Starmer to sweep in. Who then effectively takes us back into the EU, by way of various political shenanigans (potentially as part of a 'deal' with the SNP and then Lib-Dems). Or justs simply the fact that he was the face of the movement to over-turn the result from 2016. The Tories cannot then be blamed, and get the anti-EU vote behind them again, and within a ten year period, assume their natural role as Government, along with it having some kind of constitutionally imposed compulsion for us to be in the EU meaning they can just blame Labour for us being stuck in it. But happy to be ripped apart on this. Convince me I truly have crossed the Rubicon into tin-foil-hatted lunacy.

The CONS do seem to want out- by voting in the thickest pm ever, but is it just to let someone else take the wrap for the state they have left the country in over the last 13 years? I"m not sure Starmer even wants to go back in to the EU, to much agg from the new tories who will have voted him in! But you could be right of course!

I think your theory probably has legs but after the upcoming mayhem I don't believe the Tories will form another government for a generation. Parliament hasn't reconvened yet but watch out for Members crossing the floor to join Labour and Liberals and anyone else who is anti-Truss. We're in for a bleak winter. We may yet see the depth of ineptitude and inexperience of our 'non-elected leader'.

Lets not forget, keeping parity with the rest of the world cost us £65 billion in one hit, rising apparently to £300 billion in total- thats just in lizzy drippings first month in charge!

I think any theory that’s based on the Tories as they are now being able to successfully feign or plan anything and the Labour Party, or more critically KS, being able to successfully achieve anything is very vulnerable Matov. Nonetheless I’ll give it the time of day until proven otherwise as I have nothing or no one else in our current political climate to believe in!

The problem with this, and most such theories, is the management involved and the capacity to keep it secret. It would require a majority of Tory MPs to put up Truss against Sunak, assuming the membership would prefer her to him, for their inherent reluctance to choose a non-white face. It would only take one of them to leak and the house of cards collapses. I think what we see is what we have. It’s a duck! An incompetent duck, but still a duck.

All valid points and difficult to refute any of them in any kind of meaningful way but this still does not add up, the entire 'crisis' seeming manufactured. Yes, inflation is high but that is the same everywhere. The last quarter saw the economy growing and unemployment is down. And based on my evidence today, even despite a rail strike, central London heaving with every bar and coffee shop I drove past over the course of the day bursting with people. And whilst I concede this last point does not have any validity in terms of being quantifiable, the UK does not strike me as a nation in any more trouble than anybody else. Yet all we see are attacks on the Tories who seem more than happy to stir the pot themselves. Like political suicide. And for what? We know the majority of MP's did not want us to leave the EU. We know the big corporations did not want us to leave the EU. And most importantly off all, Washington did not want us to leave the EU. We are heading back into it. By hook or by crook, within a decade we will be back in the EU and these years of us leaving will be forgotten about. Written off as just a temper tantrum thrown by the Gammons who will be dying off in their droves by then. And the Tories want Labour to do this for all kinds of reasons.

Yet flew to Australia on 500k flight to promote brexit- could have cost 7k on Quantas! Johnny Mercer, ex vet, says its first pm to attack its own vets!

They knew he had to go after the partygate so Boris was told step down take a holiday let some other Muppet run the country and you'll be back soon. We will see.
