What can be said is if the budget is as poor as has been the case in the length of Hodgsons tenure, It becomes difficult to know what quality manager will want this job. My feeling is Hodgson, was promised more than he got. That’s bye the bye, except if some groundless promises should be used again it might pull someone else in.
Every prospective manager knows that without a reliable chance of getting quality players in to this squad when needed , the future prospects are not great.
Parish, above all others, knows the actual situation only to well. A coach like Favre, could succeed with us as he has in really good company elsewhere, but not if he hasn’t got the right players, to fit his ideas, and that may prove more expensive than Parish, could live with.
I see Dyche, is still being linked. Not a surprise really but even he , offering something different to Favre, surely will want it guaranteed that he has a bigger pot to work with than was ever going to be possible at Burnley.
These two are really not the same thing by quiet some way, if it’s a question of what level we hope to be playing at in future. I would hope Parish, knows that , and only has eyes for one of them.
That almost certainly depends on how much he has in his pocket.
