What can be said is if the budget is as poor as has been the case in the length of Hodgsons tenure, It becomes difficult to know what quality manager will want this job. My feeling is Hodgson, was promised more than he got. That’s bye the bye, except if some groundless promises should be used again it might pull someone else in.

Now I know this is all in the press so nothing new but I’m being told yes I know what you will all say but I am being told tonight that providing no hitches we will have a new manager hopefully within 48hrs. That man is Lucien Favre 3 year contract talks are progressing but all is going well & SP is very confident we have our man. Only passing what I have been told, may be rubbish but just passing on the info. Maybe if you tried talking to the other kids at school you could make more friends. Seeking attention here is not the answer.

And any managerial candidate would be fully aware of the budget available surely? He'd certainly ask at least, wouldn't he? All of which leads to the slightly odd conclusion that maybe we are going to spend a few quid this summer. Why talk to Nuno otherwise? He wouldn't have given us the time of day unless he'd reason to think the squad was getting some investment, and Parish would have known that before he called his agent.

Has there been a time like this before, where so many clubs are all looking for new managers at the same time, and, it appears, even more managers are looking for clubs? Supply and demand certainly seem to be in the clubs' favour this time round the circuit!

In my opinion (yes for what its worth) there are a lot of interesting candidates in the frame. Considerations are budget available, ability to bring through young players and tactical nous. We may end up with a manager who sounds like a dream appointment but turns out to be Freddy Kruger or a manager who everyone sneers at who turns out to be brilliant. If i had to pick i would say one of Lampard, Favre or De Silva. if I had to bet I would go De Silva. Lots of reasons why he would take this job. Lampard would be afraid of failing, Favre may have better offers.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

Not Da Silva, failed to keep Hull up, failed at Watford and would have relegated Everton, may as well get Pards back. So so so overrated due to sounding exotic but truly s***.

One glimpse at his records with Hull, Watford, and Everton equals avoid like the plague. Favre would be a better option.
