on Saturday night when Match of the Day was replaced by a 20-minute programme which showed significantly truncated highlights - without commentary or punditry - of the day's six Premier League matches.

The new format nonetheless managed to attract 500,000 more viewers than the previous week, the corporation revealed on Sunday morning. It was watched by 2.6 million viewers, according to BARB overnight figures.

So Match of the Day has garnered more publicity regarding immigration, that any football. who was playing ? as if it matters

Worth noting the complete absence of BBC news coverage regarding the big anti-immigration protests in Dublin recently.

i was always tolerant of LGBTQ, but now it is looking more and more like an ideological power-grab. Sadiq Khan attempting to tell us all who is the boss.

a teacher in Ireland got thrown in jail , ultimately because his christian beliefs conflicted with the he/she/they pronoun madness.

Freedom of speech has been destroyed by the likes of Linekar. Putting a gagging order on everybody. He who lives by the gag, dies by the gag.

Pantomimes are out this Christmas,then.

There goes English culture.

More so if pantomime dames expected to be treated like women when they're offstage or referred to by different pronouns.

ah well, in fairness RTE didn't give much coverage to the angry mob of irish Patriots picketing outside the RTE offices

A mob baying for the closure of RTE.

'Revealed: child refugees will be detained or deported under small boats plan'.

How does Lineker's analogy look now.

I never knew Jews were rushing to get into Nazi Germany in boats. But the historical revisionism is quite fun.

Germany had a high Jewish population in the run up to the 1930s, many of whom fleeing Eastern Europe where the Soviets had essentially banned religion. The nazis fed on that, starting with saying "stop them coming in" and isolating them from the rest of society as "outsiders",then it became "ship them off an African country" (for them, Madagascar) before moving to just kill them as the Africa plan was unworkable.

So you can qualify that with how many immigrants have been granted asylum in the uk.
The way you are ranting is like no one gives a s***. These immigrants are primarily economic, looking for yes better prospects but rules are rules. How about you were taxed higher, making your life harder to fulfil your wishes. Alternatively the migrants were housed near you making it harder for schooling, doctors and other state services. Easy to rant when you arnt actually affected one jot. A bit like the multi millionaire Lineker and his fan cub bbc employees.
