It's a difficult one. When do we develop our style like stoke and Southampton have. I think it's a myth that we can only survive in the prem , playing one way. Whilst I think it would be ludicrous to rip up big Sam solid structure, if a de Boer can add flair and bit of possession to the current side. Then we developing into a top half side. I remember Parish mentioned that the top half sides don't have 25-45% possession. Agree but you'd need the players to move the ball quicker than we do and you'd have to spend a lot of money. We're a get near forty points ASAP and then see if we can risk a cup run club unless we sell out to rich foreign owner and lose our identity. Edited by Rachid Rachid Rachid (09 Jun 2017 8.47pm)

I've said it before but I think it's worth repeating - we are the only Premier League club currently looking to employ a new manager. That puts us in a position of great strength when negotiating with a group of managers desperate to get into the Premier League. A week might seem a lifetime for us as we await the new appointment but try to see it from Parish's point of view.........we are in the driving seat and a few days here or there are pretty immaterial if we end up with the right man. We have to trust the man quote=chateauferret;3184563] Ridiculous comment. We all know what the process is that he is going through, and the expectations as to the timeframe were not unclear. Why you think the fact that it takes longer than you think it should means he is wracked with indecision and confused out of his mind beats me. The only thing that's boring is the huge volumes of bulls*** that get spouted every time some augur sees something different in his tea leaves.

If he gets it wrong now we end up with it all over again at Christmas,He needs to look at every angle of a protential manager, from tactics to his home life,Brendan Rogers split with his wife effected Liverpool just before he was sacked.

Has Sean dyce been interviewed for the managers position at palace yet all I've heard is rumours it hasn't mentioned it on sky sports at all so I don't even think his in the running for the job

Lets not pretend we are on pittance as we surely are not! Not even in an English context and even less so European. The tv money and the flat way it gets divided between clubs does mean we can have players on over 100 k a week and buy 30 m strikers.......... Originally posted by Den1923

Rumour was Brendan + attractive office worker (not Tommy Smith or Kenny Dalgleish). Super super Brend super super Brend. Who put the ball in the scousers net? Unless you can measure sexual appetite when in a position of power and influence at interview this can happen.

I know Parrish is taking his time to find the right man for the job . But in the meantime can we sign any players without a manager ? We are losing ground to our rivals. Who ever he brings in ( I'm hoping ginger . He is not a pony just a little hoarse) Will want to bring in his own few players . And while I'm at it did mazzarri say palace are s***e in code or was that just sour grapes . w***er! I did not want the prick. Anyway to sum it all up the suspense is killing me. Never a dull moment with palace. Palace till I die .

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Frank De Boer in talks!' by kenbarr I wonder why he didn't last longer at Ajax? He was a legend there and yet got sacked after not very long? Also wonder if his tactics are cut out for our current set of players? Obviously I know little about either but my gut is saying pelligrino would be a better fit.
