Nearly 1,000 people have died today and you twist it into a Diane Abbott joke. Classy. You clearly politicised it yourself in your second line. "Our governments blah blah......"

When that number of people are dying per day, in excess of any other country in Europe, at what point are we allowed to scrutinise the action or inaction of the government? It is becoming plain to see the we reacted far too late. Nothing to do with people not listening and taking our governments advice then. Like not going to the parks or beaches 3 weeks ago. Have you got the info on if any of these deaths were people who didnt take the advice because it's a little coincidental do you think.

Oh the selfish behaviour of many individuals not listening has obviously contributed massively, but the late and confused messaging from the lot in charge added to this. Been reading up about New Zealand’s impressive fast approach - they’ve had 1 death in total. We would have had 1 death in the time it took me to write this post.

What was confusing about dont go near anyone you dint live with. Then the whining that police were using drones to spot people not doing this and the hand wringing when police stated fining people. You cannot have it both ways danh. Many didnt take the advice and are now dead or going to die did you take the advice and if so why?

Glad you are taking WE advice and not political posturing. As I asked earlier is there proof that the death rate would have been less without herd immunity?

Tbf the messaging was bad and I remember posting about it. But I’m not sure the messaging about the lockdown was bad. I think it was more before with the panic buying and quotes of ‘’War’’ by Boris. Dan, did you say we shouldn’t close borders, because that is what New Zealand did?

Even the die hard conservative guy on sky newspaper review benedict spence has just said the government were to slow to act and the conservative mp who went on a jaunt around the country to his home should resign,,,,i notice a slightturning of the screw now boris is ok and we can get back to scrutiny!

Isn't that the truth. This really isn't the time for bs or political posturing. The time for reflection and hindsight is when this is all over. Until then, like it or not, agree with it or not, we all have a duty to do OUR bit. Which is to get 100% behind what our government has asked us to do. Actually, it would be very refreshing to be proved wrong. That would mean that for once, one of you actually provided some incontrovertible evidence of something instead of just spewing out a lot of old guff.
