This post has been merged from a topic called 'Frank De Boer in talks!' by kenbarr Would definitely be a different strategy going with De Boer i personally would like a foreigner in charge at palace and his record with ajax is definitely very good so would love him at palace out of him and Rainer I would go with de Boer but would like a different style of play and a continental style you never know he might get us in the top 6

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Frank De Boer in talks!' by kenbarr Interesting rumour this one! Not sure "possession" football is suited to us and don't think the old possession stats really mean anything if you keep losing every week - as we all saw under AP. Dynamic, disciplined , hard working pressing game is How I like us to play so I'm not that enthused by this - although the "football Philosophy " link was interesting the slow build up from the back element enhanced my doubts about de Boer. Possession football only works when you have superior players. The top six will

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Frank De Boer in talks!' by kenbarr Don't know much about de Boer's record but Parish made a point of wanting to "wind the clock back" when Allardyce was appointed and slow possession based build up from the back would be a recipe for disaster for us IMO.

So so bored with this now. Don't think SP knows what he wants. He knows exactly what he wants and stated he hoped to get a new manager agreed by next week. You have no idea exactly what his plans or his thoughts are, they certainly have asolutely nothing to do with what's been posted in this thread so far.

It's a difficult one. When do we develop our style like stoke and Southampton have. I think it's a myth that we can only survive in the prem , playing one way. Whilst I think it would be ludicrous to rip up big Sam solid structure, if a de Boer can add flair and bit of possession to the current side. Then we developing into a top half side. I remember Parish mentioned that the top half sides don't have 25-45% possession.

Why you think the fact that it takes longer than you think it should means he is wracked with indecision and confused out of his mind beats me. The only thing that's boring is the huge volumes of bulls*** that get spouted every time some augur sees something different in his tea leaves.
