Don't for a minute believe we will ever see any new development at Selhurst

Apologies I thought they moved straight into the hockey stadium

It took them 13 years to move out of Selhurst
16 to move into Stadium MK.
AFC Wimbledon are due to move in to the former dog track next months. 29 years after leaving Plough Lane.

I hope we manage to move quicker than them.

True but how hard did their owners try? There was a ready made stadium in MK, thinking about it there is one, albeit dilapidated, waiting at CPP

It has been stated before, but CPP is on an apex of 5 London boroughs, no chance of getting an agreement with traffic being the issue.
I doubt moving to new stadium will ever get off the ground, any space will have been earmarked by council for housing to reach their government targets.

You are forgetting we have the existing stadium to offer up for housing development so this shouldn't be a huge barrier to going somewhere else.

Selhurst Park and CPP are in different London boroughs.

Offering land in one has no benefit to the other.

Transport links to CPP are awful - yes worse that to Selhurst Park. The local residents and park trustees would object to any building in CPP.

I can't see that as an option.

House building is a national target, individual boroughs should not be fighting amongst themselves as to who meets what target (although it inevitably happens).

The Croydon Arena area seems worthy of much deeper exploration. You lose Selhurst Station but gain some tram stops, and Elmers End. Parking would be harder, I'll admit.

Sell Selhurst, build at the arena site (without material change of usage), Croydon Council then gets to build lots of houses at Selhurst, meeting its target.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

yeh.yeh. yeh, they're all in it for themselves and it will never happen - so easy to parrot some negative bottom line to sound like wisdom - Parrish wants the club to succeed, in the long term success is not sustainable with that f*cking piece of sh*t we call the main stand - but raising the funds and applying the logistics ti replace it is incredibly difficult - but the idea that SP and co are stringing us along whilst driving the gravy train (which you have not expressed explicitly but is where are lot of the doom mongers are coming from) is rubbish. It's why the Americans were brought in, but it didn't work out, wrong partners - the intention is clearly there imho, but making it happen is a different matter all together. The pandemic does kick the can even further down the road unfortunately.

The pandemic is a convenient excuse for lots of SNAFU projects and plans.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
