Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

And from the very same person who states they are not narcissistic and provides a series of statements on how great they are to disprove it I find this amusing. Narcissism is defined as:- “excessive interest in or admiration of oneself and one's physical appearance.” Nothing could be further from the truth. I only listed my actual attitudes in response to the suggestions made. Not because I am especially proud of them. I do what I can, because I can, and because I have learned over the years that being kind produces more than being unkind. I have much more interest in others, especially my wife of whom I am very proud, than myself. My physical appearance is nothing to get excited about and concerns me not at all. I am much more concerned, having got cancer, with my physical health. If admiration was something I craved is it likely I would come here to find it? It’s more likely I am a masochist than a narcissist, but I am not that either!

"Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". Of course, it is! If people use these pages to make personal criticisms, rather than address the issues, then I have two choices. I either ignore them, which I do a lot, or defend myself, which I do sometimes. If the subject of any comment is me, then any answer is bound to be too. It's amazing that given the seriousness of what happened 2 days ago, people choose to attack me personally for attempting to identify and discuss the causes of it. Taking a step back and trying to see behind the immediate rather than adding to the speculation seems more rational and productive. at least to me. But hey ho, everyone else here always knows better, don't they? I am very concerned about where this could lead, but perhaps no one else is.

I don’t use the BBS and rarely, if ever, even visit it. I don’t like the format. However, having read the descriptions of the reactions there that some posters here have commented on I took a look. I found nothing but cool analysis. though I didn’t read every post. No wishing the gunman had succeeded, No development or circulation of conspiracy theories. No real discussion of the event itself. Just an analysis of why it might have happened and where it might lead us. It seems measured, articulate and intelligent. Not the least bit “lefty” at all, but balanced and objective. It was quite an eye opener, refreshing and reassuring to know that not all my fellow fans think and behave as do the majority here. I recommend you go there from time to time to read how others see things. However, before anyone suggests it, whilst I may take a look when anything momentous happens, it’s not for me on an average day. I don’t like the way it works, nor do I like having my views simply confirmed. Echo chambers aren’t interesting.

Indeed, on the BBS you conform, or are liquidated. I much prefer the HOL as you tend to get a wider range of opinions. Edited by Forest Hillbilly (16 Jul 2024 8.17pm)

Back on topic, I notice Trump seems to be generating excitement wherever he goes now. That ear bandage is no doubt going to be a fashion accessory as we get nearer to polling day,

That ear bandage is no doubt going to be a fashion accessory as we get nearer to polling day, When your country is literally being destroyed by globalists, you turn to anyone who might change it. Trump is not an ideal President, but he is a man who stands up to the people in the shadows who want to wreck our societies for their own greed and influence. Sometimes our saviours come from unexpected places.

You didn’t read it very well. Perhaps the posts you didn’t read would enlighten you somewhat I'm not responding any more. When you try to justify the attempted assassination of a presidential candidate and blame the victim instead of the perpetrators, then you no longer deserve a voice as far as I'm concerned. I always defend the right to state opinions, and god knows, I have been on the other end of multiple verbal attacks just for doing so on the other site. That said, even I have a line that should not be crossed.
