I could not disagree more.

His Champ coaches used to refer to him as the drunken something-or-other. He evidences a complete lack of effort, almost as if he is intoxicated; but those straps around the chest that all players wear and which measure e.g. activity, evidenced the complete opposite.

He has a difference of style from Wilf, not a difference of impact.

Was that referenced in an article or something do you know? Be keen to read it if you have a link. I'd be very surprised if Eze scores particularly well for distance covered per game.

He absolutely has a difference of impact than Wilf, even acknowledging their different styles.

We're just not very good.

Too many show-pony players (especially Eze) trying little flicks instead of moving the ball simply on, and our passing is absolutely atrocious.

We need a massive clear out and a complete reset.

The only bright point is Wharton. He'll be class, but then get snapped up.

Spot on!

Complete Rubbish, If Wilf was that good he would have joined a top club, nobody even wanted him on a free, instead of it tailing off at a very poor Turkey farm, Eze needs some other players that can pass and can read the game, unfortunately only Wharton and Munoz seems capable, if Olise returns, you will see the difference, in the four games he has a goal, an assist, a marginal offside, for another, with crap support, get a grip.

If you offered me either player it would be Wilf every time.
He has/had more skill and worked harder plus he cared.
Eze - so far - has not progressed as far as I thought he would, even allowing for injuries.

Yep.

Eze is supposed to be the cherry on top of the cake in my eyes, Wilf was the cake itself including the cherry, a lot of the time.

The cherry is pretty useless without the cake, which is where we're at and I'd suggest where Eze may be coming in for some flak, deserved or not.

I'd suggest comparing the two is a bit of a fruitless endeavour, with criticism of Ebz the only likely outcome.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Agree with you.

And to answer the person that said no top club wanted Wilf, Emery has stated that he wanted him at Arsenal as "he wins a match on his own" but the heirachy new better and bought him Pepe!!

Premier league statistics (Palace only)
Zaha 354m a goal, 572m per assist.
Eze 348m a goal, 562m per assist,

So as usual not doing your research before sprouting rubbish.

Both were and are very good players, and a would think Eze will go on to have a far better record than Zaha.

Yes, Lanzo, too many idiotic clowns on here, opening their mouth before engaging their brain, the list is endless.

This is a ludicrous post Lanzo and you've descended into insults which is very unlike you.

You've provided statistics for a point I am not arguing. You've made your own point and tried to argue that.

It’s obviously very relevant Wilf played 3x as many games. Ratios are important but so is outright volume.

Of his 21 PL goals, Eze has scored against:

- Sheff Utd x4
- Southampton x3
- Leeds x3
- Wolves x3
- Bournemouth x3
- Brentford x2
- Everton x1
- West Ham x1
- Spurs x1

So other than the recent free kick against Spurs, I don’t think he’s ever scored against a top half side, nor against Brighton or other such important fixtures. He tends to excel against poor sides and go missing against decent ones, which was never true of Wilf.

I’ve been to many away games on crappy days and Wilf has almost every time been the best player on the pitch. He got us promoted, kept us up many times and has earned the right to be called a legend. Comparing him to Eze at this stage of his career, and saying Eze is as good or as impactful - how can you possibly know that? I’ll tell you in ten years time.

This means absolutely nothing, if you want too ignore the stats it is up to you,

Of course Wilf has, and is a legend at the club, but anyone suggesting the Eze isn't a class player is ridiculous
