Just to add, Man United today capitulated the same way we did.

Get the Luton game out the way and then 3 weeks to get the team ready for the season run in. Perfect opportunity. Who knows, perhaps Guehi and olise are back as well. We will have an entertaining end of season even if there are a few hiccups along the way.

When playing centrally with Guehi, Andersen is a huge asset: strong, aggressive, and disciplined. He defends his territory well and delivers lovely long diagonal passes to wide attackers.

Roaming around without Guehi, he's a bit of a liability. His lack of pace lets him down, and he's not a confident defender in open space.

Agreed. Out of interest are you a London born Palace fan living in the States or US fan?.

I remember about 9 years I gave tickets to 3 US boys outside the stadium and they became smitten with the whole Palace vibe. Honest, real and massive potential etc. We met up after the game and got a little drunk and one of the guys was a big bloke who had just been drafted into the NY Jets.

I lost contact probably due to me changing phone numbers and not being great to copy over.

I often think of my lost US Palace fan short term mates.

Cheers
John

It's an interesting observation.
Not only does he not have Guehi beside him, he also doesn't have Doucoure in front of him.
He has looked more exposed with his weaknesses rather than strengths demonstrated.

Just watched MOTD as busy over the weekend. All teams make defensive mistakes,Brightons defensive was a shambles for all of their three goals conceded,Dunk was poor, think we need to lay off Anderson as mistakes happen in most goals scored.

He has only just stepped up to Prem from Championship.

Completely different intensity & fitness requirements.

I bet he could last 90min but not at peak performance and not worth risking mistakes/injuries.

Most players claim to be injured when being substituted these days.
It's hard to tell what is real and what is BS.

You must have missed when watching the game the big hit he took to the ribs.

Also here from reliable source after fitness tests last week players not even near pre season levels? Which you can see .Think they were getting an easier ride until now .So we should hopefully see some improvements in coming weeks.

You wont have same levels of fitness pre season as you do mid to end of season.

They would be higher.

What you are seeing is different styles of football which has different fitness requirements.

You train for your requirements

Remember when Roy took over last season same case.

Who is your reliable source? if they are coming out with like your post they do not have the training or understanding on the subject.

I understand the anger when the final whistle went, but this perspective is important.

Few games buck the trend this late in the season (Chelsea being the only anomaly). Spurs have much more than us, and so were more likely to win.

OG still needs time to settle, and we need the Olise-Eze team to be really effective, but it is a resource led outcome in the EPL.

Exactly this, especially the loss of Doucoure.

Eduord coming on looked the least fit of the players. Newcastle game being shifted will give OG the chance to get his ideas across. What really stood out yesterday was the work the coaches were doing with the players on the pitch before kick off. Their substitutions won the match, ours lost it.
