A fine example of someone who seems to be malfunctioning at the thought of Nigel Farage being right. No one could possibly argue that Farage isn't right. Farage is a fine example of how it's possible to both be very right and very wrong at the same time.

There is nothing manufactured about his 'outrage'. He has been measured and calm in exposing the lies of Coutts, Nat West and the BBC. Oh Farage can manufacture a measured and calm outrage. It's what he does. I have never seen anyone so obviously lacking sincerity. It's all an act. He has missed his vocation. He would have made a great villain on Eastenders. Dirty Nigel, cleansing the east end of immigrants and socialism.

It would take a book to answer that. Starting with Brexit and continuing up to this. His whole stance over this event is manufactured outrage designed to achieve a political advantage. That's propaganda. His freedom of speech hasn't been affected. No money has been lost. No doubt he has several other bank accounts and credit cards, so his ability to live, trade and enjoy life hasn't been diminished in any way. It's 100% bs which he is using as propaganda to further himself. That's the mark of an odious man. I have to say i just can't see how this has become front page news - he is now an irrelevance. I suppose it moves the focus away from more serious news items as parts of Europe burn etc

Now that’s a real swerve you’ve tried

Wasn't long ago that banks and employers would not allow black people to have accounts go inside restaurants, bars etc... What's your opinion on this? Should banks also have a right to decline based on ones skin color? It's discrimination in all forms. could you quantify 'Wasn't long ago'........

I think this post establishes that your hatred of Farage is outweighing any clear thinking on the issue at hand. What untruths has he spread? The whole basis of his claim is untrue. He hasn’t been “debanked” for his political views or anything else personal. Coutts have withdrawn service because they are concerned that their reputation might be damaged through an association with him. Maybe you think that is the same thing, but it isn’t. The first would be a direct cause. The second isn’t. They could have reached their decision as a result of a variety of considerations, such as him being a high profile individual with controversial views who courts publicly. What those views might be would be irrelevant. It would only matter that they are controversial and that carries risk. Should they not be able to decide to protect their reputation in whichever way they believe is appropriate?

This scandal has been going on over a week. If the board members have not been talking to each other about their position and whether the CEO had done anything wrong then they are even more useless than most of us think. They are paid a great deal of money to make big decisions but sometimes those decisions such as this are easy. I am unaware of the Board structure at NatWest and how responsibilities are delegated but I doubt whether they meet very often or were all involved in making the statement. Maybe we will find out. It was a big mess for sure.
