It is ironic that staunch Tories defend these u-turns as pragmatic reassessments, but would be sticking in the boot if the u-turn was a Labour one.

Moreover, government decisions should be based on manifesto promises and be stress tested using the vast resources available to any government. In this instance the policy was obviously rushed, ill thought through and politically and economically inept. If the change was a reaction to altered environmental factors I would have no argument. However, this was not a natural correction but a reverse on incompetence.

Liz Truss enters stage to 'Moving on Up'

'You've done me wrong, your time is up

You took a sip from the devil's cup

You broke my heart, there's no way back

Move right out of here, baby, go on pack your bags'

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

so Truss has now come out as a Zionist ? a surprising move, i thought.

Normally , the clever move is to fudge the argument and say something ambiguous . She may have just alienated herself from half the Middle East and much of the UK.

Because he"s obsessed with all things gay and men in drag etc- then calls me mr woke- when I have never mentioned anything for or against these issues- to me- anyone obsessed with any kind of individual , must have a keen interest, so I have to say, anyone who is always on about gays, lesbians, queers, trans, people who identify as an elephant! Thus, if you spend all day worrying about these people, you must have secret desires, so mr Pincher, a friend of bungle, and the member for medways hero- seems apt!

It's even worse for Truss.

Joey Barton liked her speech.

She says nothing, and says that very badly.

Everyone who doubts that her 'growth x 3' will actually produce any economic growth, is now a part of the 'anti-growth' coalition joining Putin, the financial markets, the voters as if it's any of their business, and probably most of the conservative party itself.

'Getting Britain moving' probably refers to mortgage payers being repossessed and moving out of their properties.

Anybody...who speaks like this...using gesticulations....trying very hard to annunciate....one clause at a time.... SlowlY..GeTTIng..LOUDER is delivering a strenuously rehearsed, orchestrated, choreographed performance which somebody has trained them for and is obviously in lieu of an actual ability to communicate and communicate their own thoughts. Kier does this too just a lot worse. Morons all of them. Imagine somebody fit to run the country who could ad lib or write a speech that sounds like they're talking from their own heart and mind. That person I'd be inclined to listen to, I switch off almost immediately with this lot feeding me what they think I want to hear and see as opposed to honesty.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I thought that a bit odd seeing as though only 7% of the electorate voted for the Green party.

Or as the kids say "rubber glue back at you".
