After an exhaustive investigation I can confirm that in no way were Liverpool fans to blame.

You could have saved yourself the effort. Andy Burnham had already clarified that it was all the police's fault.

Does anyone like Crooks? It seems he is universally disliked by fans of all clubs. It's not his opinions I think, but the way he delivers them like the know-it-all kid in class. When he picks a Palace player it is never our best player, just the one who scored. Andersen absolutely bossed Nunez and I don't believe there can have many more dominant displays than his this game week.

Apologies if I'm wrong, but I could have sworn that Crooks always picked his team of the week on Sunday evening, thereby ignoring the Monday fixture. Could it be that he held back this week in the expectation of being able to spunk over one or more Liverpool players?

Going to use the Beneteke against Brighton arguement, Liverpool might have had more shots on goal and more possesion but if you picked out the 6 chances from last night where you expected a goal, which ones would you pick.
Nunez early at the back post probably should have done better , doesn't connect well. Nunez again at the end of the first half was a good chance but it looks like Doucoure gets back and gets atouch. Salah had good chance with a header in the first half and like Nunez didn't connect well. All difficult chances with the ball coming on to them in a crowded area.
Zaha's goal he has the defence turned and space and time to open up his body and pick his spot , ok fair enough he still has a lot to do beat Alison but he is in control. His chance at the end of the first half he is again throuh on goal with the defence turned , a poor touch allowed Alison to close him down. Finally if he had been able to sort his feet out in the second half with the ball in from Docoure , Alison would have got nowhere it.
We had the big chances and probably should have won comfortable scoring 3 or 4, that's my arguement anyway and I've been telling it to any of plastic Pool fans i know

One supporter of hacking argued that without it "you will do away with the courage and pluck of the game, and I will be bound to bring over a lot of Frenchmen who would beat you with a week's practice -Blackheath secretary at first meeting of the F.A

Anyone could have scored that the real work was from Eze showing again release the ball quickly.

He has now just gone and missed a good chance with again sloppy touch.

Wilf really could learn a lot from him if only he was willing to learn.

Liverpool are a second half team this is when they break teams down and start to get extra friends backing

whatever you was drinking, sounds good.
he had a lot to do , a lot.
Wilf is frustrating but without him we'd be in the championship years ago.
you seem to have a personal issue with him.
I agree he couldve learnt, but a bit long in tooth now, but to say anybody could put that away...
daft.

I think Gary Neville's assessment was correct. Allison is one of the best goalies in the world. To have beaten him while on the run, hard pursued by quick equally world class defenders and at an angle, the shot would have had to have been perfect to go in.

It was.

IMO Mane has been in the top three or four players in the world over the last four years and they will be less of a force this season. Great result and performance nonetheless.

One point only, but what a point! Credit to the whole team and the Eagles fans at Anfield. Our two weak spots were Schlupp and Ayew. And in spite of all his brilliance, it was the second game in a row that Eze hit the keeper and not the net on one-against-one.
But that goal, what a worldly. From the moment Eze turned the Liverpool players, his pass and the finish from Zaha.
Credit to Ward, Andersen & the rest of defense - brilliant!

What a fantastic result. Our early fixtures were looking pretty daunting but we rode our luck and counter attacked well,
Extremely well when Eze slipped Wilf in behind and we beat their high line. The utter joy of scoring against the run of play at Anfield .... drinks got spilt in my house.
Roy Hodgson would have been proud of the way PV parked that Crystal Palace bus. We need to sharpen up and get better at keeping possession but hopefully that will come with confidence and time. Exciting season ahead.

Dr Death has a long running campaign against Wilf. His goal against Norwich last season was lucky, he never works for the team etc

There's plenty of beef to be had with Wilf, or at least desire for something more or else.

However to deny his existence as the single point of success in our recent history is just not Palace.
