I doubt it, but possibly. My thoughts are this is a Croydon Council issue and they don't really want a football team. I wonder if Bromley might be better, frankly? It's not like it's set in stone we have to be in Croydon. This upgrade to one stand seems hardly worth the trouble. Move to where someone actually actively wants a Premier League side, instead of always causing trouble for us. I'm sure Bromley would be delighted to get the Crystal Palace sports stadium and swimming pool off their hands however they will not put a penny of public money into it. Not sure how the locals would feel.

The group who raised the money to refurbish the concert bowl were subject to loads of objections and as a result there are ridiculous restrictions of use of what used to be a fantastic outdoor concert venue. Ironic as the whole area only developed because there was a bloody great visitor attraction there in the first place. Bromley don't want a Premier League football club the local non league clubs are hardly supported, Crazy Wanderers one of the year oldest clubs in existence have been homeless for some time with any plans to develop constantly thwarted.

I was driving up from Orpington to Bromley they other week (on the road up from Sidcup roundabout) I thought I saw a Cray Wanderers sign on what used to be the old Furness Withey ground on the left, quick glance & it looked like it was being developed for them. I was in the traffic & driving so I might have got it wrong Originally posted by orpingtoneagle

Bloody odd country we’re in. Both Croydon and Bromley should be ashamed of themselves. Rotters.

I had a letter yesterday from Croydon Council regarding the viewing of the new plans of the new stand at Palace. Has anyone else on here received the same letter.
