There is a natural tendency to think that things will get better and I think politicians play on this unthinking bias in most of us. Whether you think elites have everyone's best interests at heart or not it's pretty much undeniable that they have used warm words and blanket media coverage to justify what is in affect the downgrading of society in most metrics over the years. Starting to think we need to embrace this 'Reset' narrative. Obviously not the pound shop Blofled WEF version but a new one. The current system is clearly not fit for purpose. Western civilisation is now effectively into its Swansong. The battle is now around what emerges.

There are plenty of leftists....nay communists making money off of donations on the Internet but apparently Katie Hopkins is beyond the pale. I don't have a problem with communists receiving support so I hardly have an issue with Katie.....though I admit some of the things she says are unhelpful.....but that's also true of most of Twitter.

I suppose my main issue with a lot of these people, Hopkins especially, is that their main reason for existence is to make money - I really doubt she fully believes or stands behind most of what she says. People like her found a fault line either deliberately or by accident and quickly realised it had potential to grow and exploit an audience and live off the proceeds. Their only interest is to beat what they said the day before to create more views, engagements and so on. Or be deliberately outrageous simply because it demonstrates free speech, just for the hell of it - See 4chan, etc. People like Brand however - I believe that most of what he says is genuine.

I think she wanted to be a public figure...certainly, however we would have never known about her if she hadn't won Alan Sugar's show...was that the one? She would have probably just ended up in the city...she's tame compared to some of them. I'm not sure why she wouldn't believe what she says. Most of what she says is just Thatcherism with shock jockism added....instead of just representing the anti immigration position (something that will get you called a Nazi anyway) she'll represent that aggressively by infamously referring to certain types as cockroaches.....we don't really need that, then again, she gets picked out because liberalism wants its demons to point at. Hopkins summed it up herself when defending what she says by relating how she's a reaction against how society has developed....replying to Ian Hislop, 'you are Dr. Frankenstein and I am your Monster'.

I agree, I think he focuses upon the areas where anti globalists can agree regardless of left or right.....I should state that it's more the form of globalism rather than an idea that global cooperation shouldn't exist....it's always that authoritarian/libertarian balance. While I'm obviously not on the left or an egalitarian I have time for Brand as his primary concern is anti corruption/censorship and the ultimate desire for peace. I can't criticise what I see as honest non self advancement motives.....even if I may differ on what is possible and hold many of the classical positions of social conservatism as opposed to his social liberalism. I tend to listen to what people are saying rather than what’s been written / said about them. Seeing as we currently have a celebrity obsessed society it’s important that some of them (of any political persuasion) are outspoken enough to go against the current group think. It’s concerning to think what we might be asked to believe next.

I have taken this from the Wikipedia (so hardly a hostile source for the likes of BlackRock) and it staggers me.... In December 2021, BlackRock teamed up with a Saudi asset manager to pay $15.5 billion to buy and then lease back pipelines to Saudi Aramco. However, Fink has been largely vocal on companies taking action on climate change, and in an open letter in 2022 stated “Every company and every industry will be transformed by the transition to a net-zero world. The question is, will you lead, or will you be led?”

These are the same companies that have pumped chemicals into our rivers and seas, poisoned us with processed foods, made us sick and addicted to pharmaceuticals and pushed us to purchase overlay packaged products that go into landfills. Not only that but stolen our own natural resources and sold them back to us at vast profit. Now they are telling us that it was all our fault and we have to live like peasants to atone for this. Zet-zero is just another vast business opportunity (but on a completely different level) which is why there is so much big money behind the likes of Xtinction Rebellion. It will be the biggest transfer of wealth and property in human history (second only to "COVID" ) if it's allowed to go ahead. Edited by W12 (02 Aug 2022 10.57am)

They have far more unelected power than should exist within systems that even pretend to be free.

Edited by W12 (02 Aug 2022 10.57am) The compliant covid response has emboldened them. Governments are signing up to the WEF net zero agenda and are destroying industries and the media are largely silent about it. You can see why the establishment treated 'Xtinction Rebellion' with kid gloves yet when it came to covid protestors they got the rough treatment. Edited by Stirlingsays (02 Aug 2022 11.58am)
