I see that those held in immigration centres who face deportation are going on hunger strike. Is it racist, ignorant, bigoted, reprehensible or otherwise to suggest it may be good practice for their forthcoming destination? Probably, but it’s there now! Asylum seekers stage hunger strike as UK prepares Rwanda deportation [Link] Or are they getting prepared for the african food availability issues.....

From the Daily Telegraph no less:- Asylum seekers in Rwanda have said they have been left in a “traumatising” poverty-stricken limbo for years, barely able to afford clothes and constantly in fear of the country’s brutal security forces, an investigation by The Telegraph has found. Just read this on the day a flight to Rwanda is being allowed.

Something had to be done. Who knows precisely how this will pan out yet. It may not be without issue, but where are those with more workable solutions? (come one, come all isn't a solution).. Edited by BlueJay (10 Jun 2022 8.03pm)

Feature in the Mail today telling us that Rwanda is a wonderful place to find salvation. Illegals sent there should count themselves lucky.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Edited by BlueJay (10 Jun 2022 8.03pm) Exactly. Unless people are content to let the world and his wife in, without checks. These are the same who moan about no money fir NHS or housing for the poorer families. How much at these economic migrants costing?

Extreme irony that I mentioned earlier. Patel's family/parents fled Uganda because of persecution under the Idi Amin administration, and were given safe refuge in the UK. Edited by Forest Hillbilly (11 Jun 2022 7.10pm)
