I can read. You just can't comprehend. She doesn't have to pay income tax. She doesn't earn her income in this country, and is not a registered citizen. Also, she is allowed to live off her husband's income. She is the mother of his children, and has been since they were born. And I doubt she was paid maternity leave. As the law stands, she will be treated as a British taxpayer in due course. As I have said before, if you don't like the tax rules, go and protest for change. Berating her, and trying to blame Sunak stinks of envy. Even if you do earn over £100k pa.

It really doesn’t, as evidenced by the weight of opinion on this issue.

Is this your position on everything? Unless your willing to go and ‘protest for change‘ you shouldn’t offer an opinion on anything?

I want Luka Milovojevic to leave the club - am I alright to post that on a messageboard where people express their opinion, or do I need to go and stage a protest first?

Seems a bit of a silly position..

Can we have clarification on who are ‘outraged idiots’?

People angry about this?
Angry on here about this?
People protesting about this?
People angry because a 2 party system causes this?

Any other groups? Can Tim please clarify who are the ‘outraged idiots’ and what views people are allowed to express in his opinion, without being an outraged idiot in his mind?

I can’t comprehend why you say she pays ‘remittance’. I think you mean she would pay tax on any monies she remits to the UK. So that will be none then

I am not envious. I am angry that yet again the guy that sets the rules doesn’t appreciate that he has to be held to the highest level of ethics, even if he can ‘get away’ with using the rules to his advantage. As Sunak benefited massively from the rules until - to his great anger - the truth surfaced, he had an incentive to limit any potential changes that may have been for the greater good.

The weight of evidenced opinion shows that three weeks after the leak of this information, it is no longer newsworthy. Nothing has happened. Nobody cares. Only the constantly outraged.

The constantly outraged have since picked up a different stick to wave at authority. And will pick up a different one if and when they find it. Because really, they just want to be outraged by something. It really doesn't matter what. Which is why they are idiots. They simply want to have someone removed from position as that is how the get their get their kicks. A bit like wanting players to leave a football club. Ok to say it, but ultimately pointless and idiotic.

Mr 'Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers' is insulting those who ever dare question authority again. He might want to read back his own signature / complaint. Perhaps, by his logic, there was absolutely nothing wrong with what he feels' dragged down by' and he's just a 'constantly outraged' idiot?

Yep, that's easy. Those who are outraged by this are idiots if all they do is moan about the rich. There are tax laws that can be used by anyone to pay less tax. If anybody just whines about it, on a football fans forum, they are idiots too. She has done nothing wrong. It's equivalent to a vegan being outraged at you eating meat. You're allowed to do it, but morally it is wrong according to a vegan. However, it won't stop you eating meat.

However, if outraged people are prepared to protest about it, and I mean go and demonstrate outside somewhere officially linked to HMRC, they are not idiots. They are doing something to try and change it.

Well, I came to this thread and asked if she had to pay remittance. And if she does it would be £30k, rising to £60k. If she pays no remittance, I'll stand corrected, but this is the first time it was mentioned.

What Sunak does may anger you, and most others, including me, but to post outrage about it whilst doing nothing to change the system is such a futile approach. Do something, like lobby your MP, or write letters to the press, or organise a protest march.

Just stop whining.

Thanks for now deciding that it's fine to be 'angered' but not 'outraged' (with you of course being the sole judge of who fits into either criteria). We will await your full list of acceptable responses in .pdf format.

At least now you've also completely rowed back your multiple insults towards those who would wish to protest. At this rate you'll soon be declaring that those who protest tax laws should be knighted. Good stuff!

The strange thing about this is, you are outraged at someone obeying the law. But you are being outraged, on a football fans forum, at someone who points out that it is idiotic to be outraged at somone obeying the rules.

So for all your twisting of what I say, you are the outraged idiot here. I couldn't be more simple. A bit like somebode else I've come across.

Really? You think I decide those things. I haven't changed the outraged accusation. Nor have I "rowed back" on anything. I never said anything about "those who would wish to protest". Only that the outraged idiots, like yourself, should go and protest. I mean, you obviousy don't work, as you're posting on here all day and night, as well as researching stuff to link to, so you have loads of time to get a gang together and go and protest outside Parliament.

I don't have a 'gang' I'm afraid, but certainly do work. It would be unconscionable for me to take a few on others if I didn't pay my way.

Also, I'm glad you have this much respect for Rick Astley. I agree, he's a man of quite some talent. A pop scholar.
