Its possible he is. Modern main stream news-print journalism is now primarily composed of people under the age of 25 earning, at best, minimum wage and just as likely to be doing it whilst on an internship which pays nothing. In fact, they may have even paid (or rather a rich relative) to be doing them job. Along with numerous of the 'filler' types stories coming straight from PR/Ad agencies. Yes, the main opinion piece writers will still be the more mature and experienced journalists but thats about it. Still plenty of good writing/reporting out there but the chances of finding it in any daily newspaper, with notable exceptions and almost always in the weekend editions, are remote. I was told that a huge part of the "news" in the papers was actually press releases from government and corporates which the media obligingly dressed up as news. That plus the feeding frenzy on social media means that very little of it is actually investigative journalism.

UK does not have a constitution. It includes everything that is not Legislated for. That is why recent Government Legislation proposals (restricting rights to protest) have so incensed Human Rights campaigners. There were other reasons they were incensed.

Just for the sake of clarity, Ukraine can not unilaterally decide to join NATO, yet it is included as a " to do " in an amendment to the Ukrainian constitution. Ukraine has no standing in any agreements between NATO and any other entities in the current or future membership of NATO. In any case any country that has a current border dispute, which Ukraine has, is ineligible to join NATO under the prevailing rules.

If amazon aren't busy, nobody is, so if you get deliveries coming days early that's what it tells me. Not dubious headlines figures giving large rises in GDP by comparing to a time when we were shut. Observation of what is happening is surprising, this area is definitely not going green.

And also to look for what is not being reported. Can often tell you all you need to really know in terms of confirming what information you have.

Personally, I loved the one about the Kindergarten being shelled with the picture of supposedly a shell hole looking like it had been just put in with a sledgehammer along with tiny little footballs all conveniently being scattered around. I have seen plenty of shelled buildings back in the early 90s and none of them looked liked that. (dust is the key. It is literally over everything). Throw in the only black kid in Ukraine being shown how to assemble an assault rifle (child-soldiers clearly no longer a bad thing) along with some sweet looking old granny being taught how to hold a wooden cut-out rifle by LITERALLY a full-on neo-Nazi in uniform complete with attendant insignia and the entire thing has been a glaring lesson in just how fake so much of this s*** it. Plus the almost daily warnings, for weeks now, of 'imminent' Russian invasion and its beyond mockery. Edited by Matov (21 Feb 2022 12.42pm) Edited by Matov (21 Feb 2022 12.42pm)

Elections watchdog tells government to drop power-grab with ‘no precedent’ in Western democracies. Ministers will 'soon be able to decide who takes part in elections'. I think my description of UK democracy as 'limited' is actually very generous.

Fascinated by Putin's comprehensive address to his people. You get a totally different perspective of the whole thing.
