I would, or at least in the no 9 role. Almost like the role that Shluppy was asked to play when he came on. I'd rather bring Ayew on centrally in place of a midfielder, then swap Edouard for Benteke.

I’m a little disappointed - 3 defensive lapses have cost us 4 points in a week..!! But that said I am absolutely loving watching us play - and soon the results will begin to reflect our performances..!! Someone soon is going to get a good spanking from us. Well done to the team and PV..!! COYP Ooo yummy, think i'll come over for that

without going too far down the rabbit hole on this, as I know the pros and cons of Roy have been debated to death, but that's the bit I find really weird. On one hand it's all "he's a wonderful man, a legend of our time", whereas the day-to-day reality is that the training for players and experience for fans is incredibly dull an uninspiring - the opposite of what it's supposed to be, yet he still takes the plaudits. I need to get my head out of this senseless mental loop and do some work. Clear your head and focus on something less stressful like the Meaning of Life Itself

Yes, Ayew role would be ideal to replace Edouard, later in the game, good at winning free kicks and holding the ball up, but hopeless wide

The Manager, team, squad I see as still very much Work In Progress. But certainly heading in the right direction. It was good to see the crowd yesterday sticking with the team at 0-2 down and giving encouragement to the players as it was hard to take given the way that the play had gone. This League is unforgiving - 3 individual errors in 2 games have been fully punished. You can't legislate for such events but it tells you a lot about the character of the players involved and the team as a whole, when they come back as they did. Good to see Olise have the impact that he did. PV is managing his minutes prudently I think. His time will definitely come so it would be good to see the usual bores on here laying off of Ayew. I'm sure there will be some more bumps in the road in the coming months, but so far this is an enjoyable journey.

What i said in the post above is my opinion, he is just always played out of position, he has no pace and cannot beat his man one on one anymore.

OK I was one of the few who was very reserved about the appointment of PV. I think in fairness to myself I said I was cynical and he would have to prove himself as a manager. I have to give him credit where it is due and that he is doing what we had hoped and at a quicker pace than I expected. Fingers crossed it continues. I think credit also has to go to Dougie and the scouting team. Much maligned over the years, don't forget that it will have been these guys doing the donkey work behind the scenes. All the indications are that all our summer signings are having a positive impact. A very enviable situation for any club. I was sceptical how well our backline could play a passing game out the back. yes we have made some mistakes in this area, which sadly has cost us, but that is probably the most challenging area for PV to create a change in philosophy. Finally, with regards to Wilf, it is interesting to see how he is becoming less influential than he was. We have wanted to stop being a `one man team` and this is exactly what we are getting. Wilf has been and will be less effective than he was due to our change in style of play. The backline plays higher up the pitch restricting the space Wilf can find to take men on in a one to one situation. With a counterattacking style he would be fed a more direct ball to run onto and have greater space to force a backtracking opponent into. Many of us have believed that in the past he would not be as effective for a top tier team as he was for us due to this reason. With us slowing the play down a bit in a more condensed final third he is playing more passes etc in order to break a defence down rather than running on them. If he can adapt to this new style remains to e seen but he is still one of our main threats. I think the general consensus was a slight concern as to whether he would be any good. I certainly was concerned he wasn't quite right. Easily forgotten now.

I've already explained a situation where he was deliberately brought down after beating his man yet you continue to write nonsense, please control yourself.

I gave Eduoard my man of match. His little runs around the box, deft flicks and the way he beat defenders with apparent ease was great to watch. I agree he should have scored, probably hit it too well but the way he made the initial space deserves credit. I honestly believe he will become a cult hero at Palace. Fair enough mate. Totally accept that you'll have a better view of things at the game than I have from the other side of the world! I guess Wilf suffers from extremely high expectations...just haven't seen him gallop past defenders like he used to for a while. And jury's out on Eduoard still for me....but again, appreciate your perspective.
