For sure if the quotes attributed to CG are authentic it would seem as though he has a clear vision for himself, returning to his parent club, which given the way he plays we perhaps shouldn't be surprised at. If he carries on the way he has been he will surely force himself into the reckoning. A Season is a long time in football so I guess the best we can hope for is that he carries on doing what he has been doing & back at Stamford bridge they somehow shoot themselves in the foot. Seems we will lose CG at the end of the season, if these are to be believed . . .

At the end of the day, Connor is Chelsea through and through. I completely get his feelings and desire to return to his home club.

He will go back to Chelsea and probably play as much as say Loftus-Cheek or Barkley. If he’s happy with that then fine, if he isn’t then we might get him back in a couple of years. Personally whilst I think he’s a good player, I don’t class him as one of the best in the world and Chelsea can unfortunately afford them and do tend to buy one or two a year of that quality.

You never know we may get to keep him a while longer.

Yes i agree with you there coops , he is a very good player but not a world beater , a grafter for sure but as you say Chelsea can afford the best in the world , he is a work horse and a dam good one but i dont think that will be good enough for Tuchel , he will want a more of a tactition than a work horse .

be even better with Eze back stretching the play. really hope pat goes hard in winter for a RWB to actually start giving conor real options to spread the play and do more in possession.

to answer the topic - how good is CG? So far he is in the top 3 for POTY award in Premier League. Long may it continue...
