I've literally just received this in an email from the Box Office...

We are really sorry to inform you that we have encountered technical issues delivering your Mobile Season Ticket to you. Rest assured, we have made alternative arrangements for you whilst we work to resolve the issue.

For the Spurs game on Saturday, we will issue you with an e-ticket which will follow this email. We are doing everything we can to resolve the issue in time for the next home match against Brighton.

Thank you so much for your continued support, and please accept our apologies for the issue.

We will be in touch following the Spurs game.

The Box Office team.

So the fiasco goes on. I'm one of those with a season ticket and membership. They've just emailed me the tickets for the Spurs game as an e-ticket.... Anyone else had this??

Alternatively give your login details to the other two, if they have phones and the app they can login to your account and download the ticket they need. They can then log back in with their own details as before, season stays on the phone separate to the app. Temp hack but less faff in the long run.

Great idea, thanks.

I'm so Palace I don't even know it

This is absolutely ridiculous, I’ve been going since 1963, I think I’ll just call it a day, wonder if I can get a refund for my season ticket.

I wonder if CPFC have left themselves open to legal action citing breach of contract.

No mention of any of this was mentioned when I renewed my ST.

The point of it is part PL requirement, part cost-saving (long term, less staff required to manage ticketing, for example), part cost reduction, part inevitable technological change and automation. The direction of travel is the direction of travel. Contactless has been mainstream for years in multiple industries... not sure why anyone would think football and events in general would simply remain the same...

But...wasn't the ST card contactless?

Thank you Epsom Eagle for those few words "have Chrome set as your default browser and not Samsung Internet". Like most people, I was having trouble, but I saw your tips and I now have the S/T set up. Cheers!

My son (on Samsung) was receiving the "cannot be saved to this device" message so changed to Chrome BUT also had to download Google Pay.

Looks like Supporters Trust had a meeting scheduled with the club at 12.30. Club cancelled it!
There does appear that the club have breached T&Cs, when they are insisting on people having to have specific software/hardware to access the tickets they have already purchased

Has anyone who's a parent of an under 16 had their kid's ticket come through? My lad's match day ticket hasn't turned up yet, and nor have my pal's kids' tickets.

DIABOLICAL.....VERY ANGRY with the club.

OK....Am sorted for Saturday with my season ticket and my dads who is in his Eighties. I have been dealing with all the tickets for myself and Dad for about the last 10 years and how it used to work was OK.
Luckily I had a spare smart phone to give to dad. Had to sign him up with a Palace account (He didn't need one until now as I had been dealing with the tickets for years).....then got the cpfc app on the smartphone, sign him up for that, make sure he had Google Pay on it, follow the Palace instructions and done. But what a complete pain in the arse and has taken me ages.
No emails from the club and if it wasn't for Holmesdale.net would be completely in the dark.

No idea how to re assign the season ticket once on Google Pay if either or both of us cant go. Anybody got any ideas?

But still TOTALLY DIABOLICAL

Seems a bit of a p up in a brewery .. and more pot luck rather than a fully functional system in place.

Im one of the fortunate people where it worked fine and straight into my Apple Wallet , god bless the I phone ..

But why just not offer the option of just using your old ST as per the last several seasons ? All contactless no dramas ..

Finally p poor coms ref the ticket for Saturday from the club ..

My brother had that problem. The BO said it's because they have him down as having a membership as well as a ST so they are going to send him an e-ticket.

Surely they’ve only breached T&Cs if no alternative method of attending the game (eg e ticket) is provided. From anecdotes on here there are alternative methods, albeit a pain in the arse and requiring an hour on the phone.

Also at what point do the T&Cs change based on the PL? Are the T&Cs exclusively with the club or a proxy for the PL terms?

Essentially if the only way you can get in is via smartphone, then sure, that probably breaks some sort of legals. But offering backup alternates such as e-tickets probably negates that

*contactless via mobile or A N Other digital device

My general point is the unstoppable direction of travel (and this train left the station years ago) is to cardless, paperless, digital device centred contactless. For everything. But it’s important to transition properly, sure.
