Unfortunately, Southgate's and the FA's attitude prior to the tournament, taking the knee, along with the media agenda, makes conspiracy theories that might usually seem fantastic, more plausible.

Personally, I think it's a big reach to believe this was planned, but I also think that media hysteria and racial double standards leads to people arriving at these kinds of conclusions.

GB news have released a statement in regards Guto Harri taking the knee.

"GB News stands four square against racism in all its forms. We do not have a company line on taking the knee," they wrote.

"Some of our guests have been in favour, some against. All are anti-racist. We have editorial standards that all GB News journalists uphold."

"On Tuesday a contributing presenter took the knee live on air and this was an unacceptable breach of our standards."

So its not that he said that was unacceptable (obviously) but the kneeling. Is this uneven in regards to free speech/expression?

The point being the journalists are there to report and discuss the news, not to make it.

Guto is not doing op ed.

It is difficult to criticise the biased behaviour of other channel's presenters if yours do something similar.
