LOL

makes you realise how spineless, insecure and unprincipled the likes of Levy, Kronke etc are in that they went along with it for fear of being left behind. These are supposed to be elite business leaders with decades of experience.

Gary Neville was saying yesterday that the chief executives involved should all go since they’ve been going to meetings with other clubs for months/years knowing this was in the pipeline so how can they be trusted going forward?

John Barnes on BBC this morning talking real sense. The whole interview is well worth a watch when available and hits the nail on the head.

Fans wanting Mega rich owners and then moaning when they don't spend the money the way the fans want.

Mega rich owners = Ruled by their Heads and wallets Business men want to make as much money as possible. That's why they are mega rich.

Fans = Ruled by their hearts, Want success but also Loyalty and passion and on their terms.

Unfortunately if you dance with the devil you reap the rewards.

If you want these current owners out who replaces them? Fans don't have that kind of money or finance options, so just another set of Billionaires wanting again to make more money.

I hoped the big 6 would go and form this ESL, then get kicked out of the Prem and give football a chance to reset it's self and level the playing field. Yes less money but a more competitive system.

This isn't over it's just the next step on a long term plan.

Agree, they (the CEOs and anyone else found to be compliant with them) can't stay on and should be banned from any interest in football for 10 years minimum as they have shown that they are not fit and proper.

Although there would have been a big financial loss, it would have been good to have got rid of these 6 clubs although they would have been replaced by a new big 6 soon enough.

Despite my cynical and bleak prognosis above, it's nice to be wrong.

As part of their humble pie attempt at recovering reputation they have blagged about listening to the fans, understanding grassroots feelings blah blah and other wholly disingenuous cr@p. However, I suspect it came down to 2 clear words.

1 Windfall
2 Tax

Right. Like they listen to the fans when they move grounds or change the strip every year to gouge another (quite a) few quid out of people.

Well that was pathetic.

I thought this time the cynical six were serious they must have known they would face a backlash and to back down after a couple of days what a joke.

They have now damaged their reputations with their own fans.

Some of them are playing the victim and implying they were sandbagged by the others, cobblers. These discussions have been going on for months if not years and they all signed legal documents.

They knew the fans would react but I think they under estimated Boris and all the other political parties making it clear they would be penalised. The House of Commons for once was united.

Anyway there is now a window of opportunity I really hope that the governance of the game is sorted out. Boris should take the good will of the other parties and tell the FA to step up or step out.

Like all hogwash probably an element of truth in that. I suspect the idea came from the 3 American clubs who persuaded the Russian, UAE and sole English clubs to sign on the dotted line.

That said, I have serious doubts that any serious arm twisting was applied.

It just goes to show that the best way forwards for club ownership is the German model.
51% fan ownership and 49% ownership by whoever else. That's why they weren't even asked to join in with the ESL.

This prevents any participation in anything that is remotely distasteful/harmful/dishonest etc and above all being done in secret!

Therefore going forwards in this country we have to find a way of throwing out these parasite, rich, self interested, foreign owners and re-structuring club ownership to protect them.

It has been stated that we have the best league in the world watched by billions around the globe, the best managers, the best players, the best stadiums etc.
Some will argue that this is because of the rich foreign owners !!

More clubs backing out - they’re now down to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.
Not so much a league as a very small round robin.
