I did more or less say people should start preparing for this virus weeks ago, right now it's looking likely the supply chain to supermarkets will break down atleast for a while. All sporting events have been cancelled although amazingly they've left open the ski slopes & the aquapark.... So yeah food situation is fine although we have to stay open which of course increases the chances of potential guests bringing the virus to us. Interestingly booking.com & Airbnb are vetting customers & have blocked people booking from hot spots such as Italy but its incredibly difficult for us to do the same, literally relying on the honesty of guests & where they've been

There's only 10 covid cases so far & the government have black listed the 6 worst affected countries meaning anyone from those countries must be tested at the border & then spend 2 weeks isolated before they're free to travel in the country.

Thanks for the update Dan and I'm sure most of us hope things improve quicker than expected. Hancock said last night that the advice he's received says that the UK peak is expected in about two months. Like you I've pretty well covered supplies wise and while this isn't a situation where we're suddenly going to be left without energy and water there could be supermarket shortages so if it's possible I'd urge Hol members to front load rather than operate on 'just in time'. I don't see much downside in doing that if you're able.

Merkel has said half of Germany will catch the virus, literally her entire audience in attendance fell deathly silent. The Government here are set to make a big announcement on the virus today with all the schools across the whole country being closed, mortgages being frozen for 6 months and a load of other measures being brought in, the mortgage thing will definitely help us. If anyone is bothering to read this, it can do you absolutely no harm at all filling your freezer & shelves, it's only food you're going to eat eventually anyway.

Apparently regularly drinking water and every 15 minutes helps. Keep the water moist and if it’s washed down to the stomach the hydrochloric acid in your stomach will kill the germs. If you do not drink enough water it can enter the airways and into your lungs. To self test you can hold your breath for 10 seconds and if you can do this without coughing or feeling anxiety or chest tightness, it shows you do not have fibrosis and generally indicate no infection.

I hear that Tom Hanks has been diagnosed with the virus...no one's within a green mile of him. Apologies.

What's self-isolation like Stirling? You've been doing it for a couple of years already right?
