Yep, who knows we might still get another bite at the cherry in the Cup ? COYP !! They won’t get anything for a draw in the cup so they have to try and win rather than spoil. Maybe we might match them for desire. Maybe not hey.

We turned over Man City and were good value for it. Scored 3 at Anfield which no one else has done. We are money away from home, it doesn’t give you any credibility to somehow forget that. That said, our home form is a steaming pile of turd. It is a smoldering wreckage. I for one would like a manager who makes us competitive home and away. Simply saying RH is awful is not true, but he has certainly made us awful at home.

We were painfully slow at moving the ball today. Only McArthur from the midfield actually moved forward with any real intention or snapped at players' heels, but his passing was loose, as was Luka's (whose set-pieces were poor again). As for Brighton, it was an almost carbon copy performance of at the Amex. You could complain that they were dirty, but this is a derby and if you're going to be aggressive this is the game. It wasn't until the 88th minute that we finally clobbered one of their players. Very frustrating today watching endless backwards and sideways passing and as sh*t as Brighton are, you can't really say we deserved anything from the game. They targeted Luka with some dirty stuff and that was perhaps key to their game. Thank god I don't live there anymore! Spot on. Good post

They scored to great goals . We scored from a penalty. We obviously have a problem when visitors defend in depth and invite us to attack them - pretty much as we do away - and not sure that will change now. Just pray we can pick up some good points on our remaining travels.

I seem to remember Charlton fans wanting Curbishley out as they felt he couldn’t take them to this next level - where are they now? Today was a low amongst many highs that we get as fans supporting a prem team. Next week we have a quarter final. Who knows revenge could be beating Brighton in the final. Hodgson is the best manager for us. Enjoy this time in the prem as one day we will go down and will be a Charlton. But not for a while yet! Hodgson the best manager for us ? Are you for real?

Today showed why we’re both bottom third teams and not mid table.

Looking at todays results , we are probably the worst team in the bottom third and in real danger of relegation. I wish I had taken the 325/1 on offer with Paddypower last week.

We have been pretty s***e at home for some time , Roy has not been the cause of it but just hasn't been able to fix it .

Last season it was 7 at home and 4 away, mostly under Hodgson. This season we have only beaten Fulham, Burnley and Leicester at home while we have 6 wins away. So pre Roy we were 50/50, we won more at home than away last year, and this year we have gone completely in the opposite direction. That is on Roy.

He has reinforcements: Dann back to fitness, Kouyate and Meyer, Bats and Ayew on loan - in other words he has options and yet still serves up this turgid crap that clearly doesn't work. Need someone new for next season if we stay up or go down.

I like Roy, but he doesn’t have a lot of touchline presence. I wish he could be a bit more inspirational/ motivational. Perhaps someone else could do that part of the job for him.
