I watched MoD this morning and that tackle on Townsend was a straight red and yet the Referee just watched it and let it go.
The tackle on Wilf near their box in the second half was assault and yet not even a free kick or a booking.
Inconsistent is the polite way of describing Marriner's performance - biased cheat is a better way!

Didn’t watch MOD, did they question the foul on Tomkins (flattened him) in the box?

"Reality check - we are an extremely ordinary team with very little flair and no attacking edge. We got more than we deserved today against a Palace team that were better than us pretty much all round.
Am I the only one that feels we cheated Zaha? - he was the best player on the pitch, he was scythed down by Bednarak who was lucky not to get a red and fouled by JWP who then mock threw the ball at his face for the sending off incident (yes the clapping is petty - but be honest if that situation was in reverse we'd be mad at the ref for not calling a foul). Thought JWP's reaction was immature.
Terrible performance all round. Take the point and count ourselves lucky. Let's not have another 11-day break if that's the result. What's the story with Bertrand and Lemina for goodness sake - when will we ever see them again? We lack class. Yoshida needed back too."

We move in the direction of our thoughts.
Just think a little.

PVA is having a poor, poor season and was once again at fault for their goal today.

Agreed. Sometimes his attitude looks a little concerning.

One could argue that he (PVA) has now cost us 4 or 5 points this season through his poor defending, solely against Southampton.

Respect the point as Fat Sam used to say, as well as getting a point ourselves we stopped a team around us winning, which is vital, beat Fulham and it’ll be a good weeks work

Check me out, mr positive

No, I actually agree with you. However it’s the typical Palace feeling of disappointment of yet another couple of points p!ssed up the wall through a combination of our own ineptitude and dreadful refereeing.

A very honest and pretty accurate assessment.

Terrible tackle on Wilf which was a straight red all day long, how the ref didn't give anything espescially as it was right in front of him beggars belief. JWP tackle on Wilf which led to the red was a booking I thought, a pretty shocking performance from who I considered to be one of the better refs.

Ultimately poor defending and poor game management by Roy cost us a vital win, I'd have taken a draw before the game so can't complain too much but we really should have put the game to bed.

As I mentioned when he signed and a few times since then, PVA is not the best defensively, often switching off and not looking over his shoulder. He is better coming forward than defending but this seems to be true of many modern full-backs.

He doesn't really have anyone pushing him for a place, he's guaranteed to play every game when fit, if his performances drop which they generally have he still plays
