We've had 1 PL goal from a striker this season. I would love to ask Salako what his definition of 'fit' is. If that means 'technically able to run' then I would suggest Benteke has been refusing to even do that since the start of last season and it's all well and good for Wickham, but what I've seen so far is that he has forgotten how to kick a ball in his time out, let alone play football, and have been thinking this recently, am I right to only remember his goal against Man City a while back being his only one at Selhurst Park or have there been others? We are so desperate currently we are relieved to see Wickham back, but I seem to recall thinking he was on a sort of Jon Macken, Calvin Andrew-esque level of goalscoring ability anyway and wanting to physically assault CB unless he paid for my season ticket? Maybe my memory is fading with age. So you didn't see his touch for Meyer's goal against Liverpool? Comparing him to Jon Macken, Calvin Andrew - is this a joke? Some of the goals Wickham has scored for us and others have been brilliant. WBA away and of course Watford Semi's, spring to mind.

Keep seeing Okazaki getting linked. Now that would be underwhelming Not heard of any interest, thus far, in Okazaki. On this thread there has also been mention of Bolasie and Cabaye and these would also be underwhelming. Edited by Willo (25 Jan 2019 9.24am)

Short term I think Cabaye and Bolassie would help us for the rest of the season.

I agree Patrick - they would do for me as well as I really do feel that Wilf will be gone in the Summer and whilst we can never replace him Bolasie's speed - which he still appears to have - would always give us a get out clause when under pressure.

As we can only have 1 loan from Everton I would prefer it to be Tosun rather than Bolasie. Surely with Tosun, Benteke, Wickham and Ayew they should be able to cobble together enough goals to see us safe, you would like to think so anyway

Just goes to show where we are currently. You really have to wonder what is going on at our club from top to bottom. I mean we may very well not be interested in them at all, who knows? But it just feels somethings not quite right at the Palace at the moment.

Hi All, well Perri deal done as confirmed last week, Tosun will sign on loan with a view to a permanent deal by next Thursday. Expect one midfielder to sign a possibility that Bolaise could come back. Victor Moses was not signed due to wages but expect him to be a palace player for the start of next season. Edited by dazza (24 Jan 2019 8.15pm) No he won't. Just like Solanke didn't and moses didn't. More likely to get Bakary Sako back...

Well it’s not going to Bolasie but instead Bakery Sako till end of season this then keeps open a domestic loan which will be Tosun from what I am being told. Subject though to Everton signing a replacement even though with Henry being sacked Michy is now available again. It’s going to be a busy few days but definitely expect a striker to be signed.

Persuing a striker but whether one will get 'Over the line' is a matter for conjecture.

Thanks for that Willo. This doesn't even factor in the two biggest signings in Sakho and Benteke in summer windows. Proves that Parish does what he can when he needs too..

A welcome to Perri. The young man seems so delighted and enthusiastic to get the opportunity in the EPL. I really hope that 6 months down the road, he doesn't find himself disappointed with the Club!
