Isn't Roy going at the end of the season anyway?
No doubt he would like to leave on a high but clearly, is not going to win many games with what he currently has available to pick his team from. Once again, we had our scoring opportunities against Wet Spam but failed to capitalise so how can the blame be pinned on Roy? What do WE want ... a new stand or reinforcements for the team? It's not going to be both but the real estate is more marketable FOR THE OWNERS.

His contract is to the end of the following season.
It would appear that quite a few don't think he will be the manager that long.

Has in the space of two weeks gone from 12/1 to 3/1 in the sack race and would be top if Mourinho were to just keep his gob shut and get on with his job.

I didn't watch this game and don't think I can be bothered to.

Don't Panic!!! We will buy a couple in Jan, an attacking midfielder/winger to either play on the left or compete with Townsend and a striker, and we should be OK but there's plenty of life in our rivals so presumptions of a normal spring surge are misplaced, need to get a youngish manager in the summer and give him time, hopefully in the prem, and we can start to build rather than fire fight, Allardyce recommended Chris Wilder, him or Rowett, maybe Monk someone of that ilk, we've missed out on Dean Smith, we need our Dyche, we had him once and his name was Doogie Freedman, he's not the one anymore of course, but Roy with some proper backing can keep us up - playing Zaha and Townsend up front is not Roy being misguided or rigid, he wouldn't play that set up if we had a competent striker in place - but with Wilf missing for the next one and Citeh to come it's not gonna get better too quick, that Cardiff game on boxing day is a proper six-pointer now. But I don't think Roy could have done much more with what he's got to play with.

I was at the West Ham match today, and Palace played well, but were up against a team that had £100m of new talent onshow. That’s the scale of the competition. I genuinely think that Hodgson is making the best of the talent he has available but does need more backing from the Board to keep up.

Average squad salary for 2018/19

West Ham- £3.19 million
Palace- £2.76 million

Yeah they spent £100million in the summer but we have paid a decent wedge for our squad and pay similar extortionate salaries. We can’t use money as an excuse for another defeat today.

Thought our build up play was good today. Difference was the brilliant Anderson, and lucky free kick/goal situation for 2-1. We were on the ropes but did well to get back into it. Townsend tired at 60 mins. No doubt we need some reinforcements. Frustrating not to see more down the wings and crosses as I doubt West ham would've dealt with arial pressure in the box.

Yep and we had a big lad (Sørloth)on the bench, a player Hodgson bought on a reccomendation from his mate

Sørloth could've made a difference, but Hodgson won't play him.

It would appear from his post-match comments that Hodgson has no idea how to fix this.

But we could also claim that half of our squad are non-performers = £1.38 million. Get rid and reinvest in new players.

Even if we had him on the pitch and the ball bounced in off his face it would've been worth something, just get someone big up there!

Roy usually throws him on at the end but didn't today because he's crap ... as I've said previously, Sorloth would have to come out 15 minutes before everyone else just to keep up with the ball. He is NOT the answer to our problems!
