Other than that not being what I argued, you are correct. United, of course, are likely to be a prime example of this without being able to offer CL. Wan-Bissaka may well be happy with a six fold rise in salary and Europa Cup action after one full season in the Premier League He has a three-year contract and if he wants to leave, he can refuse to sign when offered an improved one. Right now, only a ridiculously big offer would tempt us and even that would be a mistake in my view.

£60M will be a price high enough to let him go. Even in the crazy world of the premier that should be enough to tempt SP into release.

Hopefully we can keep AWB but if crazy money is offered it would be hard to turn down! I'd push for Fosu-Mensah to be part of the deal. He is coming off an injury but at least it would give us an immediate replacement (albeit not at quite the same level) to begin working with. I can't see him getting any more chances at United but still think he has bags of potential. Plus he is obviously familiar with us as a club.

On the other hand, how about asking him to repay some of the faith the club has put in him thus enabling him to become a professional footballer, or asking him to honour his contract? He has already came out and said he doesent want to leave Palace and will be a palace player next season ( more than what wilf has done ) so if he does get sold it will be down to the board or an offer to good to refuse imo , dont go Arron . We love you
oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |

Nah we want that Luton town full back as far as I’ve heard

Fosu-Mensah plus £50m wouldn't be a bad deal. Could still go for Clyne or Boyle plus cash left over to bring in other players.

Fosu-Mensa isn’t good. He was average at best while here and same for Fulham, ward is better than him. So why? Just because he’s man-U? Originally posted by jeeagles

I don't want to see AWB go, but, I don't feel him leaving would be as bigger impact as say Wilf going. The reality is I see AWB's rise as a bonus. I do feel he is a case of fortune favouring him. If Ward hadn't got injured then he would not have had a run in the side and his development radically improved with his exposure to first team football, probably greater than anyone at the club imagined. If we received silly money for him, around the 60 mill mark I feel this is a fair price for a young player, and importantly a home-grown one (which is important for those clubs looking towards European football and the squad registration rules they have). We probably won't get a player of AWB's calibre as a replacement but could afford to take a player at a slightly lower level than him and it not be massively detrimental. We are being linked with Jonjo from Everton for example. 60mill and we could get a reasonable replacement for 20 mill in my view.

If we can get 50 mil for AWB we should bit their hands off. It allows us to keep Zaha and bring in a couple of players. He is a class player but Zaha is more important to our fortunes. If Zaha is definitely gone, then keep AWB for another season and groom a proper replacement.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Sane said he was the best defender he played against during that season he was with us. Yes granted he didn't have a great season at Fulham last year but I think any defender would have struggled in that team.
