That missed chance from Wilf was actually a great safe from Karius. Only saw it on telly in the replay myself.

Not sure what has happened to Benteke but he is awful at finishing. He lost us the game today with his misses. Wilf should have done better with his chance in the first half one on one as well and he seemed well off pace to his usual self today.

Should Karius have been sent off for that flying body check on Wilf? Looked and reckless and dangerous to me. Certainly took the stuffing out of our boy.

Agree and it must be so frustrating for the rest of the squad and Roy and the board must be wondering how can player lose form this badly for so long an entire season he has been little more than a dead weight. quote=Plaistow Eagle;3323002]

For me having watched this today Benteke just devoid of any confidence - he doesn't know to stick or twist..!!

He should have buried 1 or both of those chances.

His overall demina doesn't help just looks so lazy and like he doesn't care.

Must be so frustrating to play with - if your someone like Milo who was excellent today.

I think we'll be fine given our run in and we continue to play as we did today.

But come the close season we've seriously got to get rid of the egotistical tw@t - as at the moment he is a liability.

Wilf and Andros noticeably stopped passing to Benteke when he was the only option in the box. Speaks volumes really. It’s quite scary what this team could do with a decent finisher up top. We’d be a top 8 team easily.

Under the old rules yes, it was DOGSO. New rules have a double jeaopardy principle where if you concede a pen you often get a red downgraded to a yellow. If Karius had deliberately taken Zaha out without making any attempt to get the ball then that's still a red.

Damn right chateauferret and it should be.
"COMPLETE DISGRACE" to the club. And in front of thousands who pay their hard earned money to watch a £30.000.000 so called premier league stricker. What a joke.

I didn't watch today but it seems that hand ball has become a totally subjective rather than objective interpretation and football needs to address this. It's like the "When is a catch not a catch?" nonsense this past NFL season. A lot of hand balls are not called and I remember a few that went are way involving Glenn Murray. Add into that the commentators views of what is and isn't and you've got a total mess. The present hand ball rule, where the ref has to judge intent, is about as clear as mud.

There was absolutely no ambiguity in this one at all, he was lying on the ground and grabbed it out of the path of one of our players (I forget who). The free kick was given but the card for interfering with play wasn't, just a completely insane decision from the ref.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Still convinced we will not go down this season but Roy (if he stays) needs to be in charge of transfers.
Benteke should be moved on and a new keeper is a must.

He has been out for several weeks and came on against a top 6 side...off the pace, probably but not lazy
