The rest of your post is just nonsensical rambling. Where do you think the money is going to come from to "pump" into the club? Do you want to be Brighton - sloshing around with 200 million debt? You want another administration? Maybe one we don't survive the 4th time?
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Am wondering now if this has any connection to borrowing money from Barclays last week? maybe the club just haven't got the spare dosh and wages just too high now for Sam's hoped-for plans.

We have invested in players, managers have been backed, they have made some bad decisions. s*** happens. SP bought the training ground, we didn't even own it when he took over. More, a hell of a lot more, needs to be done but it is a gradual process all the time we are trying to stay in PL at the same time

If, hypothetically, every club had managers of equal abilities and their league position was based purely on the strength of the squad, we would be comfortably mid-table. There's no chance that Allardyce was worried about getting relegated with us.

Possibly the Jan signings/wages were the level Allardyce thought that the club could sustain in the summer but that might well not be the case. I always feel that transfer policy does have a big play on whether a manager stays with a club, particularly if they have a reputation where they can pick a number of teams and this was a factor with Pulis and now Allardyce. Both know come Xmas they will be the first invites to the relegation party and also with eager owners willing to splash the cash. Edited by Booted Eagle (23 May 2017 8.50pm)

I'm trying hard to think positively about it, because despite staying up and 3 memorable performances, we did put in plenty of shocking performances as well under Sam, so maybe all was not well in the camp and it's a good thing he's left???

In my head Steve Parish is outside Sam's house right now with a big banner that says "Don't go" and he's lip syncing to "Stay Another Day" by East 17 being pumped through a very large brixton briefcase. Anyone else picturing this?
