How embarrassed must those who thought he was so great because he could catch a ball now and again and was the answer to replacing Wayne because he replaced Speroni.
And those who thought he was disrespected by our club because he was a great international keeper who was above our club.

Why would anyone be embarrassed? He's still a much better goalkeeper than Wayne Hennessey in my opinion but clearly became unsettled. If you can say you saw this saga coming then you must have psychic powers, if not then your post is nonsensical.

Spoke with someone a bit closer to the club recently and he seems to think it was a case of his wife hating the area, apparently he never returned to the first team because after his injury he let Sam know about this and he was 1 appearance away from a hefty fee being made payable to Marseille. Not sure how accurate any of that is but once I heard that, I had to accept that the writing may be on the wall. I did cling onto hope that FdB would get things going again and I still think it's a massive shame we didn't get to see a bit more of him because he really was a class act in his previous Marseille days. Oh well.

For me, if he really is gone, it is absolutely vital we sign a quality replacement. Think we missed out on a very good deal in Asmir Begovic for 12mil or whatever he cost Bournemouth.
