I know £15 million is a lot of money for Austin but should we stay up next year that will be peanuts with the new TV deal coming in the season arfter next. Its not peanuts if we don't stay up though is it?

Clubs like Bournemouth need to improve their squads and players like Mings and Austin although expensive would be great improvements and with the ridiculous TV money on offer next year they could be well worth the investment. Player fees look like they are going one way and that's up its basic inflation. So although the way Parish and co have run the club so far is great, at some point in order to improve we are going to have to spend on players like Austin.

Look at all the players the press have linked us with in the last six weeks - Cabaye; Remy; Austin; Phillips; Van Dijk; Ba; N'Doye; Osvaldo; Chester; Cole; Ola John; Mandanda; Krul; Gradel; Cisse and on and on. Of all of them only Ba has moved clubs and he has gone to bloody China.
