Careful Stirling. He’s had the one pink gin he’s planned since New Year’s. Rosemary gin actually! Now on the white wine. If there is one good thing that has come out of this lockdown it is realising that Aldi are doing bits with their alcohol stock. Some real finds.

They want to draw you in only to then cry victim. It's only worth engaging with the adult old school ones. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Apr 2020 9.21pm)

We knew this was coming and we didn’t take it seriously enough and reacted far too late. I agree you can’t compare countries on a like for like basis but other countries have taken far more effective measures then we have and are doing. And you are speaking as an expert? You are calling the result when the horses are still in the stalls. The most responsibility you have is probably sharpening the office pencils so you will forgive me if I don't take your assertions seriously.

It really is sad and awful that there are those dying in a hospital ward without their family or friends to comfort them.Must be very distressing for all concerned. As it is approaching Easter it is appropriate to point out that Jesus wasn't alone at the last.

When that number of people are dying per day, in excess of any other country in Europe, at what point are we allowed to scrutinise the action or inaction of the government? It is becoming plain to see the we reacted far too late. After all Trump got nothing but praise for closing borders.

By the way, I hear Mel Gibson is making a sequel to the 'Passion of the Christ'.

Nearly 1,000 people have died today and you twist it into a Diane Abbott joke. Classy. Nearly 1,000 people have died today and you politicise the advice given by neutral scientific advisors. Classy.

This really isn't the time for bs or political posturing. The time for reflection and hindsight is when this is all over. Until then, like it or not, agree with it or not, we all have a duty to do OUR bit. Which is to get 100% behind what our government has asked us to do.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

I think we can continue to do our bit but it’s now becoming very clear that we did not act fast enough when you look at the numbers and trajectories of cases and deaths here.
