Wilf is significantly better and less injury prone than Ramsey. Ramsey is on £400k a week in Italy. We are a club that cannot presently reliably match Wilf's ambition/potential. I would slip him another £10 mill over 5 years if he'll take another extension. But if he gets injured we are f***ed. That’s £40k a week on top of £130k. Is there no line drawn?

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle Arsenal are in talks with Algerian international winger Yacine Brahimi. Which means they could be priced out off the market for Wilf.

If the interested club doesn’t get close to the board’s valuation then I agree. Otherwise I don’t agree if the offer is close to it. Player power exists, whether acknowledged or not. I'm no longer interested in discussing the sale of players. You sell when you are desperate or when a player is nearing the end of their contract and does not wish to renew. We cannot afford to sell Zaha because even with 100 million to spend we will not attract his level of quality to Selhurst Park. The same with Bissaka. We must keep him for as long as possible and that will be another 2 seasons providing he does not renew his contract. Beyond that, we better hope the club is sold.

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (01 Jul 2019 1.22pm) I agree with all of this, including the idea of keeping ourselves here until a new owner comes in. But someone had to be sold because loans are not a concrete plan, especially with those to score and create goals. The good ones aren’t loaned out often. But also there is player power whether we like it or not. We can stand firm, but the agents, interested club and press start working their devious little tricks to get what they want. Deny it doesn’t happen but it does. Players heads get turned. Happens all the time.
