Yes, I was expecting you to come back with this Teddy and I wasn"t wrong! The Irish issue is a slightly different kettle of fish, it has the capacity to stir up real hate- I could have replied to Stirlings "thick paddy" innuendo- I doubt the people working in m15/6 at vauxhalls state of the art building thought they were thick when a surface to air rocket came through the wall, fired from the railway embankment, or maggie thought they were thick when her bathroom came down in a fortified hotel during conference, or indeed downing street when a mortar launched from whitehall fell just short of the roof into the garden, nobody caught on the first and third examples- right in the centre of the most cctv city in the world! But alas I didn"t, why stir up old history- but as I said, those examples put to bed the thick paddy stereotype, as well as the Irish having one of or the best education systems in the world! But i digress, If people treat me with respect I return the respect, If i feel someones puling my chain I act thus, but i"m not to bothered about posting here nowdays, but will try not to antagonise anyone when I do, lifes to short! Well since you were born and bred in England it's only secondary offence like mine at Scottish jibes.

Although it"s better for everyone not to get to stressed on this forum, it"s ment to be entertainment after all, not a place to fall out with people, we all have a common interest after all!

Tough. It's not my fault you're as bright as a bag of broken lightbulbs. You're happy to binge on Tory stertotypes....you don't get to choose what stereotypes others choose. Ireland is a melange now (like England) but before Cromwell etc it was a mainly separate race from GB.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

If I remember correctly they underwent the same Viking invasions England did and cross border travel and raids happened way before Cromwell from both the Irish and English/Scotland/Wales......The name Scotland is actually named after an Irish tribe. The Irish were always travelling.....probably desperate to get away from those potatoes. Edited by Stirlingsays (05 Oct 2022 7.50pm)

Almost, but I believe the Irish came (partly) from the Danes and the English partly from the Vikings.
