You certainly wouldn't want to be sent to the headmaster's room for a misdemeanor.

In my day the cane and strap were administered with gusto.Ruler firmly thrust on back of outstretched hands also deployed to punish miscreants.

Yep, I can remember the time I got the caine.....not that I deserved it but once a snitch always a snitch.

Returning to the subject of Coronavirus, I have today been in conversation with family who reside in a coastal town outside Sydney. They have reported that the Police have been very much in evidence in their locality, moving people on congregating near the beach etc etc.Fines of 1000 Australian Dollars (Approx £500) are handed out when necessary.

In terms of their outbreak, a number of their cases have been Australians who have returned from abroad.
At present, when flights arrive from abroad, passengers are tested at the airports and people are taken straight to a hotel and are required not to leave their room for 14 days with food left outside their door for collection.

Herd immunity is the only way prior to a vaccine or drug which kills the bug agreed. It's the moral point of how many lives is it worth and can a healthcare system cope with deaths because there isnt a ventilator to buy the time for the body to heal. Taking chances is how we've evolved but that was more through not having the medical knowledge to know what you are up against or the effect on people. It's like Russian roulette and would you play with one in the barrel for immunity or would you contemplate your boys or your wife doing the same. Financial implications are going to be bad but you cant spend it or even worry about it if you dead. I can see insurance companies checking the small print though. Lloyd's investors might be getting a hit if they back personal cover that is.

Whatever is to come we will have to endure.

It hasn't been a good start to the decade and this is the weirdest Easter of modern times.

My only top tip, is don't buy Easter eggs now. as always they are over-priced.
Supermarkets will still have shelves full of the things on Tuesday, and probably going for £1, or less

Sainsburys actually gave away all their unsold Mothers day flowers this year (and there were loads , everywhere), which was probably cheaper than sending them to landfill.

I disengage, I turn the page.

Just heard that there will be a round of applause for Courier and Delivery Drivers.

It could be anytime between 9am and 5pm tomorrow...

It was the kind that a lot of children from the last thirty five odd years might have benefited from....and conversely wider society.

Even if they wouldn't have thought it at the time.

My local Tesco’s did similar. I gave mine to an old chap who missed out as he went straight to the Pharmacy, I told him he should tell his wife he bought them, he replied “ she won’t believe me, she works here”
