They are demanding a 2nd referendum but Jo Swinson has stated if the result is again to leave they would not honour it...how democratic of the Liberal Democrats

I don't recall there being any overwhelming expert opinion on that subject.

On Question Time last night Emily Thornberry rather bizarrely stated that if they were in power, they would seek a better deal, that they would then put back to the people, while campaigning to remain?!? So I'd say I'm definitely in agreement that there is no plan really, other than to throw enough spanners in the works to make this government unworkable.

On the flipside of that we've been back to the country under Theresa May and it's the way we've voted that has allowed for a parliament that can behave this way. As time pans out the Theresa May snap elections looks more and more disastrous in terms of the stalemate situation that's some about.

With all that said, through one mechanism or another I do see a November election as being quite likely. It appears to be the intention to either make Boris jump ship, or humiliate himself in the run up to that. Should he be forced to ask the EU for another extention and refuse to do so, but remain in his job I have no idea what that will mean. Or if we would drop out of the EU as result. Lots of unknowns right now.

My view on this after a decent Friday lunchtime is that we just need to leave. That is what was voted for 2 years ago. If there is no deal so be it. At that point it will then focus the minds to sort out trades deals etc as quickly as possible.
Also once we have left I'd be tempted to stick 2 fingers up to the 49 bil and use it as a bargaining chip.
