Fascinating! The technology does astound me. I remember over twenty years ago visiting a technology company in Sussex that manufactured machinery that could be used in forensic examinations. What astounded me was that the machinery could identify fingerprints on weapons that had been thrown into a lake even if the item wasn’t found until many decades later.
