Using any headline on its own is bad enough but when it’s from a rag like the Mail, which follows an agenda of distortion, even more care is required and suspicion raised. Anyone copying and pasting ought quote where it comes from so that an informed opinion of the trustworthiness can be reached. If I had known it was a headline in the Mail I would not have been nearly so worried. Just like the BBC so....

If I had known it was a headline in the Mail I would not have been nearly so worried. You have increasingly entrenched yourself in one position. You are now running out of any other options. A bit of caution with the vaccines has been advised but you know best. You're basically calling people liars for simply stating what they think. I have several friends now with vaccine damage and there are plenty more out there. Including a friend of mine with an existing condition who now has a damaged heart. People are offering you sincere advice. I realise you think everyone with a different opinion is some kind of zealot - but why not pause and think of yourself for a moment. Is getting seriously hurt by a vaccine really worth any risk, even a small risk, right now? Is current Covid that serious and prevalent? I realise you have your own unique reasons too - so can actually understand.

I claim my £5. Refused. My response was more nuanced than a simple dismissal. No headline can ever tell the whole story. Some though attempt to summarise it. Others don’t. They attempt to distort and to paint white as black. Only the gullible would put the Mail in the first category but unfortunately, as has been demonstrated many times on these pages, the gullible are among us.

I realise you have your own unique reasons too - so can actually understand. Who has advised caution with the vaccines in any way different to the caution necessary for any medical intervention? I was asked if I was unwell or taking medicines prior to receiving them earlier and not to drive for 10 mins afterwards. Sensible cautions for everything. Of course there will be a few who suffer reactions but, on balance, the rewards hugely outscore any risks, so discouraging people is extremely irresponsible. I am sorry for your friend but has it truly been confirmed as vaccine related? Or just assumed to be? If medically confirmed they have been incredibly unlucky but that must not be regarded as any kind of a guide for others. As getting seriously hurt by a vaccine is a much smaller risk than getting seriously hurt by either flu or Covid, even now when both are more under control, this scaremongering is worse than nonsensical. It’s dangerous. You can regard me as a zealot if you wish and I admit to being passionate about exposing things as dangerous as this kind of spreading of misinformation. It serves no one except our enemies who are busy on social media winding up the gullible.

Exactly what part of my comment do you think is scaremongering? I am advocating that people ignore scaremongering, not spreading any!

I wonder why that is! I am not the least ‘triggered”. I had my vaccinations this morning, without the slightest of reactions. I couldn’t even feel the Covid one being injected! Then I have been working on the tax returns for myself and my wife followed by a long walk by the river until dusk fell on a beautifully still autumn evening full of birdsong. After that nothing could wind me up. Not even total pr#ts.

You have lost whatever moral high ground you thought you had. Well and truly triggered. Enjoy your Saturday evening. I myself had a relaxing massage earlier and walk up a mountain. Just about to open a pale ale and watch the rugby all while unvaccinated. Cheers.
