Leicester and Everton are closer to arsenal than they are to the top 4.
If they spend all their budget on Zaha. How are they sorting out their embarrassing defence ??

Have you seen the league table from last season? Where does that put Wolverhampton? Closer to the top 4 than Arsenal If you use that theory. I get what you’re saying though

Reality surely is that Club can't afford to let Zaha go now given sale of Wan-Bissaka and the familiar tale of slow action in the transfer market.

We can afford to let him go if the proceeds of both sales are used wisely and that is what concern most fans.

Rather than just trying to replace Zaha with another wing wizard I read an article a month or so ago suggesting that if we sold Zaha we might go for Jack Grealish and change the way that we play to accommodate the team's different strengths.

That scenario is now presumably off the table as Villa were promoted but surely the concept is sound

Can’t believe one or two on here saying the sale of a WB won’t really affect us too much. Have a look at the Premier League clean sheets table for last season, we’ve just finished in the top six for the first time during our Premier League stay as we are always in the bottom half.

I think the increase in clean sheets has a lot more to do with Guaita in goal than AWB. Not saying he isn’t an incredible talent, but the change in goalkeeper was crucial.

Totally agree with that but when someone posted the vastly high number of times he hadn’t been dribbled past, baring in mind he is a right back, can you imagine The number of goals he potentially prevented even by just taking a fraction of those dribbles into consideration.

Lots of different opinions which makes forums like this great passionate reading but none of us will really know until next season. Start the season with a clean sheet and I’ll be swinging from the chandeliers, let in three goals and I’ll be heading to Sussex coast and not B********

We have been asking this about Doug for sometime now the players we have signed during his reintroduction to the club have been complete dross. Did we really spend 12 million on Sorloth?

Hard not to feel sympathy for Zaha who more than deserves his opportunity to play Champions League football - perhaps selling his sights short by contemplating move to Arsenal and Europa League action and a season for The Gunners that was underwhelming and certainly finished as a damp squib that revealed many a frailty within the team.

Hard TO feel sorry for Zaha more like.

Signed a mega bucks deal last summer after the same trick. Now he's released an interview in a national paper openly courting our rivals when he's on silly money per week.

I know he's one of ours but he's put of order and conducted himself shockingly.

Personally I feel we should offload him as his attitude is off, cash in. He won't make it elsewhere. Big fish, small pond player.

I don’t know what’s hard to understand about Wilf wanting to win some serious silverware whilst he’s at his peak. It would be different had we won the FA Cup.

We don't know what promises were made to him by the club, stay with us one more season and you get your move?

He is a great talent and deserves another chance to play at a bigger club. It's not as though we are challenging for trophies.

I don't want him to go for if we get the money then fair enough.

Wilf signed a long term deal on big money a year ago and presumably he knew what he was doing when he did so.

If he wants to leave because of broken promises, then come out and say so.

In fact what has he said directly ? Even that stuff about Champions League football was only in answer to a question.
