Predictions:

Quite fancying a flutter on the result.

I reckon it's going to be 54-46 in favour of remain (unfortunately), what's everyone else's thoughts?

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

I wouldn't argue anything much different, so just to prove I am paying attention I will go 55-45

The problem with the debate for me is that the only people debating the subject are people that had already made their mind up for Leave or Remain. I doubt (although can't say this as a fact) very few people have been influenced by these kind of debates.

Spot on...it's like two kids bickering over who has first choice when picking the footie teams in the playground. Neither are interested in choosing the right person...they just want to get one over on the other.

Don't forget TTIP.

They were saying on the radio yesterday that when it comes to TTIP and the NHS, the NHS got ring fenced from being seen as 'monopoly' which would have meant that businesses could have sued the UK government in secret courts if they felt they'd been treated unfairly when it came to contracts. This exclusion was later withdrawn.

As an example, if the UK government were to bring in a law limiting the amount of sugar allowed in soft drinks, it would mean that a company such as Coca Cola could sue for loss of profits.

1. It's not going through as smoothly as is made out.
2. I think the current lot would sign as an 'independent ' nation anyway - if they can

Anyway I think this is enough from me on this topic for the time being.I will only get on my "Soapbox" and get drawn into a protracted debate which will clearly WILLO this thread.

The significant sum last year was a massive 1.1@% of our annual expenditure.

I was going to vote leave before I even knew about the prostitutes.

It will be a male prostitute, or 'inter sex' or a transsexual or what not, as it will be provided by the liberal fascists of the Remain Camp.

They want you to practice Dutch sodomy, instead of good old British missionary sex, as part of their European social engineering project. Reject this.

KLAXON..... Charade Alert..... KLAXON

Read my earlier post (around 8.40) where I spoke about renationalising and how that's a really big issue for me.

I'm just trying to put info out there as quite a few people have no idea about a lot of things.
Isn't it important that people have as many facts before they decide. Tis a big decision.
The Lexit film raises some excellent points.

I don't think that's an unreasonable concern (although could be applied to any democratic process and is probably a reason to not have referendums at all) but equally most people won't be able to look at the larger issues that you're making reference to. Because the scale you're talking about is completely impossible to reasonably gauge. It is not viable for you to say what a Britain-in-the-EU looks like in 20 years time. They can make a guess, but there is simply no way of knowing.

So making a judgement on contemporary issues or smaller issues that can be easier evaluated seems valid.

Valid perhaps but wise?

I think given what we know about the intent of the EU, it is not at all unreasonable to project a European government within a couple of lifetimes.
People like the ideology of a world coming together and getting smaller but they don't think about what that will really mean for the individual. They see a world with no wars and everyone holding hands which is totally unrealistic and the stuff of fantasy. What they don't think about is how their personal circumstances will be effected on a more practical level.

We send BILLIONS to the EU each year.More than the 'Home Office' budget and about 10% of the NHS budget.Yes a "Significant sum" whichever way you look at it.
