Israeli missile has struck Iran apparently. Anyone care to elaborate on what this 'means'? I've not been following with enough interest to hold an informed opinion on the symbolism/consequences of this, nor have the general knowledge or understanding of it all to do likewise. Grazi. Usually a whistling sound followed by a very loud explosion.

No it wouldn’t! The defeat and removal of Hamas is but one strand of a complicated international situation. It cannot be viewed in isolation. It is just not that simple. Removing Hamas without finding a way to establish peaceful coexistence between Israel and Iran and all the other Iranian surrogates would simply mean the problem has shifted. Israel would not have prevailed in any kind of meaningful way. You prevail when you win a war. Not after a battle. So you would like Israel to enlarge its operations to include Iran and other Iranian surrogates. Meanwhile, you would like Israel to prevail over Hamas? Edited by georgenorman (19 Apr 2024 1.47pm)

Not all likely in the immediate future, so the first thing is to ensure the diplomacy works. Which I sense it is.

Edited by georgenorman (19 Apr 2024 1.47pm) I think the big question is, do we risk Iran getting nuclear capability? It could be that Iran getting the bomb could make the region more stable, as nuclear weapons have globally for the last 79 years. Equally, can we trust a bunch of religious fruitcakes with a nuke, or risk it falling into the hands of even bigger fruitcakes in the future?

In what way are 'the establishment' after Mahyar Tousi TV, cryst? If you check his channel he got stopped filming the other day with some lame excuse. There is news out there saying he is in the cross hairs. Edited by cryrst (19 Apr 2024 9.53pm)

And the grand sum of evidence to support the idea that ‘the establishment are after him’ is just a vague suggestion that he was stopped filming once, with no context. I’d literally never heard of him until you sent that link, as I’d expect is the case for most people - I’d struggle to see why ‘the establishment’ would need to go after a fairly small-time YouTuber posting the same s*** you can read all over social media.

I said watch his channel. That’s what I would recommend. Research his channel. You will see that he has a target. My example with TR would certainly put noses out of joint. I think words have been said to Iran and Israel over that stuff. If only the Palestinian issue could be solved as easily.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

While the media's glare in the Middle East this past week was diverted to Iran's dramatic missile and drone attack on Israel, there has been no let-up in fighting in Gaza. Dozens of Palestinians were killed daily - including many children, according to figures from the Hamas-run health ministry. It now says Israel has killed more than 34,000 people in Gaza since the start of the war.

What about the missile base that suddenly blew up/attacked in Iraq?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
