I was watching the snooker and one of the players had an tremble on every shot - Ben Mertens. Has been caused by the vaccine - one other player also has it. Donaldson I think. Quite significant shakes.

As I am having both tomorrow this worried me. Coming from who posted it I was also worried it wasn’t really accurate. It seems the second worry was the real one, so I will be getting both at 9.52 am tomorrow. Scaremongering isn’t a kind act.

I was just reporting the news. I do hope you have no negative side effects tomorrow.

I agree with you scaremongering is not a kind act at all. I had to put up with it for 3 years.

You weren’t though reporting the news. You were spinning it, deliberately missing out the reassuring bits about how the risks are minimal and far outweighed by the risk of Covid. The real news is in the link I provided.

As you agree that scaremongering is bad I trust you are now about to do some penance. Maybe offer to make some tea and sandwiches for the hard working, under appreciated people who work on a weekend doing the vaccinations.

You haven’t suffered any scaremongering yourself. You have wilfully avoided doing your public duty because of your irrational distrust of a vaccine that was developed for the good of all. Apparently being selfish is a right, but not in my book.

This link is the news. The headline was what I wrote. Word for word. I did not spin it. I literally copied and pasted the headline from the news. Take it up with the newspaper.

I don't understand your problem? Why I have touched a nerve when I just reported the news? Maybe you can apologise for your over reaction to my post?

Yes I and many others have suffered from scaremongering the last 3 years so we know exactly what it's like. Only selfish people are those like yourself who want others to risk their lives just so that you can come out from hiding behind the sofa.

Anyways.....I hope all goes well for you tomorrow and you do not have any adverse reactions.

The Daily Mail? That will be dismissed in a second.

It's still a news headline? Regardless if it is dismissed.

Headlines are not news. They are just the spin that the publication wants you to read and not bother with the detail.

So, ok, these weren’t your words. You just copied and pasted but nonetheless on their own they are misleading and worrying. That’s scaremongering. Next time please quote a source. Then it’s likely value can be assessed.

You haven’t been subjected to any scaremongering. You have been subjected to some pressure to do what every responsible citizen was asked to do. What is scary is that you refused. There isn’t anything the least scary in protecting yourself, and others, from a disease that threatened everyone. Using the excuse of the minimal risks of rare side affects to justify not taking part is pathetic.

Using any headline on its own is bad enough but when it’s from a rag like the Mail, which follows an agenda of distortion, even more care is required and suspicion raised.

Anyone copying and pasting ought quote where it comes from so that an informed opinion of the trustworthiness can be reached.

If I had known it was a headline in the Mail I would not have been nearly so worried.
