Not sure about this, Lib Dems got 7.5% of the vote at the last election, Bracknell voted leave, and his party passed a vote of no confidence in June. So should set up a by election in my view.

Non sequitur. You said 'the way the EU has behaved wouldn't have helped the remain side'. So how has it behaved during the past three years, what 'won't have helped'?

People on both sides of the border are more than deeply concerned about a return to troubles if the backstop goes.

Please respond to my point that it was those who went through wars that voted to be a part of the European project - in full knowledge of what that meant. It is a bunch of people who missed out on the wars but have rose tinted spectacles that think we need to get into a position to 'fight our own corner' etc. etc. They have no clue and in any case they are setting up others to do the fighting, others that simply don't want to as they recognise foolishness when they see it.
